Felt that the tour guide did not add much to the experience. Most of what the tour guide added seemed to be something we could have learned from reading the educational signs in front of the various areas we visited on the tour. It was nice that we were able to travel to the different areas at the attraction in a car rather than having to walk. Overall, the experience was average. If you are just looking for a ride to and from the attraction, I would recommend, but if looking for an interactive tour guide that adds to the experience I would look elsewhere.
We spent interesting hours, we were well oriented and cared for our needs. The ruins show the past of the years and the people who lived there. The view from the sun temple is very beautiful...It gives to imagine how it was centuries ago, a green valley, the sea at the bottom. A pleasant sense of peace.
Our guide was great and went above and beyond! They kept us updated about arrival time and gave us some great reccomendations about places tonight check out. We were sad we didn't have time for another tour with them!
Thank you very much all our drivers and tour guides are CERTIFICATED and really professional with our travelers.
Booked a private tour for my husband and I. Our guide was great. His English was perfect. Very educational. Funny. Loved it
This trip provided an insight into two very different cities, past and present. The guided walk around the current neighbourhood of Barranco provided a glimpse into one of Lima's more upscale and artsy areas. This was balanced by the visit to Pachacamac, a trip into the world of the Incas and their predecessors, a little to the south of Lima. There is inevitably - given Lima's traffic - a lot of time spent driving, but overall it is a good way to spend some time from a Lima hotel if you are waiting for air, sea or bus connections.
We enjoyed very much the tour called: Pachacamac Archaeological Site Including Barranco District. Both places were very interesting. Our tour guide was great. I recommend this tour.
My wife, son and I joined Carlos on the private tour of Pachacamac and Barranco. The communication via Whatsapp prior to the trip was excellent and timely. The private vehicle was new and very comfortable. Carlos was very knowledgeable and shared the history of Peru and each district we passed through on our trip from Miraflores to the archaeological site. His English is very good and he answered our questions completely. He happily tailored the tour to our particular needs. We highly recommend this tour with Carlos!
We had a great time an excellent service and very nice everything, the van arrived on time to pick us up and the Service during the tour was very informative
Great private tour with an experienced and knowledgeable tour guide. We were in Lima for a couple of days before heading to Cusco so we decided to book this tour to learn a little about the history of Lima. And that we sure did. We also enjoyed exploring south of Lima. Also I would like to note, I was notified a day before confirming the hotel pickup time and they were right on time the next day. I would highly recommend this tour.
My friend and I had some extra time in Peru at the end of a business trip, and decided to book a tour of Pachacamac because it was relatively close by, and fit the amount of time we had. We found a tour done by “Peru Best Price” which had good ratings, even though the most recent rating was over a year old. That should have been a red flag for me. Our pick up from the hotel was supposed to be at 9 AM, but by 9:15 AM they had not shown or emailed to say they were going to be late, up so I contacted the company. The phone connection was poor so they contacted me on WhatsApp. I asked the driver what the problem was, and he said that they could not do the tour today because of “COVID-19 policies“ which he claimed required that you book reservations “5 days in advance.” I told him that there was nothing on the website which specified that, and that the system allowed us to select the date and time we wanted, and that I was unhappy. He then advised he was going to contact the facility, and a few minutes later wrote that he “might“ be able to get us an afternoon tour. I told the tour operator that would not fit with our schedule, and said that if we had to book 5 days in advance, why is it we would be able to do an afternoon tour, but not the morning tour that we bought, and he had no response. I told him it was very poor customer service to make me have to track him down to find out why nobody had shown up, and his response was that we could ask for a refund! My advice is to avoid this company at all costs. They will not contact you, will leave you high and dry, and then when you press them on something, their answer is that you can ask for a refund. I am sure there are better tour companies out there, and I would never use these people again. I also do not know why Viator has them listed as an available option, when it is pretty clear they have such poor customer service.
