Description
Tour the 67,000-square-foot Griffith Observatory with this curated itinerary developed by former observatory employees. Travel through space and time as your private guide covers everything from science to Los Angeles history to movie magic. The observatory is also a great place to enjoy panoramic views of LA including the Hollywood Sign. After your tour, enjoy a show in the world-famous planetarium theater. This 40-minute immersive show includes live narration and out-of-this-world projections. Shows are open to ages 5 and older. Note: We are an independent tour company and are not affiliated with the City of LA.

See the Astronomers Monument — a large, outdoor concrete sculpture on the front lawn that pays homage to six of the greatest astronomers of all time.
This world-class observatory features one of the largest Foucault Pendulums, a 50,000-volt Tesla Coil, an interactive periodic table of elements, and more. View the night sky as seen from the Samuel Oschin Telescope at Palomar Observatory.

A great visit around the Griffith Observatory. For an hour an a half we enjoyed a small private tour with Esteban who conveyed his immense knowledge and enthusiasm for so many parts of the Griffith. Superb!
Angelica was absolutely amazing. She explained everything we say in layman terms and made everything we saw so understandable while being complex. She answered all questions and we thoroughly enjoyed the entire 90 minutes. She even helped us buy tickets to the planetarium show afterwards. Just wonderful!

The guide met us at the designated location at the stipulated time. The tour started with the introductions and viewing and explaining the outside surroundings of the property. The guide was very knowledgeable, took time to explain in detail of various parts of the observatory.
