Itinerary
We take you closer to the Hollywood Sign than any other guided tour in LA — hiking all the way to the front AND behind the sign for views most visitors never see.
Your guide shares the real stories behind Hollywood — the scandals, the stars, and the history that made this neighborhood the entertainment capital of the world.
One of the most iconic landmarks on earth. You'll hike to the front for the classic shot, then continue behind the letters to the closest legally accessible viewpoint on any guided LA tour.
Known as Lake Hollywood, this man-made reservoir has been supplying water to Los Angeles since 1924 — and appearing in countless films and TV shows. Stunning views from the trail.
A favorite local secret and one of the best vantage points for the Hollywood Sign. Your guide knows exactly where to stand for the shot.
The entire hike unfolds through the Hollywood Hills. Celebrity homes, sweeping city vistas, and the kind of views that make you understand why everyone wants to live here.
One of the largest urban parks in America — and the wild history behind how it came to be is one of the best stories your guide tells on the way up.
The world-famous Griffith Observatory comes into full view from the trail — an architectural landmark and iconic filming location framed against the LA skyline.
From above the sign, spot the famous film studios of Burbank — Disney, Warner Bros., and more — spread across the valley below.
Sweeping views of historic Hollywood unfold from the trail — your guide puts everything you're seeing into context.
From the Hollywood Hills, your guide points out the boulevard below where Hollywood's legends are immortalized — a view most tourists never get.
The mansions of Beverly Hills spread out below as you climb — your guide knows whose house is whose.
On a clear day, the Pacific Ocean and sunny Santa Monica come into full view. This is the panorama that makes the climb worth every step. Bring your camera.
Behind the Hollywood Sign, the San Fernando Valley opens up in every direction — nearly 500 square miles of LA you can see in a single glance. Nothing prepares you for this view.
As you crest behind the sign, Glendale's skyline comes into view — your guide points out the Cartoon Network Building, the Glendale Galleria, and landmarks locals actually know.
Epic elevated views of the Sunset Strip from above — your guide adds the stories that make the view mean something.
Spot the iconic Capitol Records Building from the trail — one of the most recognizable pieces of architecture in the world, and a lot more interesting with the backstory your guide provides.
A bird's-eye view of one of the most famous concert venues in history. Your guide has stories about this one too.

Michael was a great guide. He was knowledgeable and fun
Matthew was a very informed and attentive tour guide. We had a great time and it was very memorable.
we had a great time with Timothy. the hike was very informative with some great photo ops
Noelle was AMAZING! She had so much insight into the area and gave guidance on other places to check out. She made sure that our pace was comfortable and that we had plenty of stops for water. She took the time to take lots of photos for our group and give us many spots to take photos. We had a small group (only 5 of us) so we didn't have to hurry. It was an amazing experience and I would totally do it again ... Especially if Noelle was our guide! This was an experience we used with our GoCity passes purchase.
No one was to be found at the meeting point, even though we were there 45min prior. We asked our uber driver, to make sure it was the right address as it was on the booking and he assured it was where we were supposed to go. We even asked locals.
Hi Christopher, can you please give us more context: did you leave once you arrived and didn't find your guide? We only ask because you say you arrived 45 minutes early which would put you at the meeting point QUITE early, 15-30 minutes before your guide would have even been on site. Please let us know so we know how to make this right with you and how to address this with future guests moving forward.
Great experience with the Timothy tour guide. His knowledge plus his personality made my experience great.
Had a tour with Michael and he was fantastic! Very informative and patient with me ( as it’s been a while since I’ve hiked anywhere!). It was just me on the tour as the others never showed up. Initially I thought it would be awkward but Michael was very friendly and welcoming. I had great fun! And would highly recommend ☺️
Noelle was very witty and made every bit of the hike to the Hollywood sign fun and interesting. Noelle was full of knowledge about the area but are still unsure if Mick Jagger ever lived near the sign.🤷♂️ thank you from Jaime and Paul the carpenter.
Noelle was a great guide and really made the hike to the Hollywood sign fun. She was very knowledgeable about the area and took some great photos of us.
