Our tour guide will meet you at the hotel between 4.30-5.00 am in a Land Cruiser and drive you to the desert at the right time to witness the first rays of sunlight reach every nook of the desert.

So, visiting Abu Dhabi's desert at the time of sunrise allows you to take beautiful photos with your loved ones as well. It isn't just that. These camel rides are generally short, but you can go on multiple rides to extend your camel ride duration. On the whole quite ok, however, the camp lacked a bit of hospitality. We were offered no Arabic coffee, tea or dates despite indication. Likewise, we were offered only a small bottle of warm water at the camp. There was also no photoshoot with Arabic costumes as well as sandboarding & skiing. Accordingly, the trip was also completed half an hour earlier.
Sadly for us the trip didn’t go ahead as our driver didn’t turn up. We were not impressed having got up at 5am and made sure we were in reception 10mins before our pick up time. Couldn’t get hold of the tour operator to find out what was going on. Eventually got a response from the tour operator ( not Viator) an hour and 15 after pick up, then rather coincidentally we got a message from the driver a few mins later telling us he had a puncture, which we didn’t believe. We asked if that was the case why he hadn’t contacted us to inform us or to arrange for another driver, no explanation. He did offer to come and get us within 30 mins, bit pointless as it was now 2hrs after original pick up and it was daylight and we had obviously missed the highlight of the trip, sunrise! We may have been unlucky. Viator have been great in sorting a refund I might add.
This was an amazing experience. So glad we took this trip to experience the beautiful sunrise from the top of a dune in the desert. We had a great time with Mujeeb and he was excellent with dune bashing in his Land Cruiser. He was also an awesome photographer. After the sunrise, he took us to a camel farm and had a short ride on the camel. Pick up and drop off from Abu Dhabi hotel was a breeze. Weather was a bit cooler for a light jacket and the sky was clear for a perfect sunrise! I highly recommend this private tour! Ask for Mujeeb and he is a pro in the desert.
No nonsense tour operator. The tour organizer spoke to us a day in advance and the driver came to us at the right time without any follow up. Extremely courteous driver. Couldn't have asked for more..
