Discover one more iconic place and recognize the famous scene when Carrie and Aidan had their conversation about engagement. Beautiful fountain and sculptures of Columbus Circle, a traffic circle located at the intersection of Eighth Avenue, Broadway, Central Park South, and Central park West. The circle is named after Christopher Columbus, a marble monument to whom is placed right in the center of it. The monument is installed atop of 21-meter rostral column with sculptures of the great navigator’s vessels. This epic place fits a heartbreaking final scene of the season four, especially at night with its lights on!

15 min

Visit the iconic location of the show where 19-storey luxury Plaza hotel has become the landmark of NYC because of the Sex and the City show. It was opened in 1907 and was featured many times in the show. However, the unforgettable scene was at the end of season 2 when Big broke Carrie's heart while hosting his engagement party with Natasha. The Plaza Hotel will take you back to the moment when Carrie asked Big why he would not marry her and the memorable quote from the 1970s drama The Way We Were. The visit to the Plaza is the first step to dive into the story of the characters and live their feelings with them. Our tour guide will recommend taking some tissues since some crying moments are guaranteed.

Don't miss a national historic landmark in the heart of Manhattan. This is the epicenter of everything New York and the best in fashion, art, design, and dining

Get to the green oasis amid the bustling concrete jungle. Located between 5th and 6th Avenue, it offers a great place to have a rest on green lawns surrounded by monumental high-rises. The park was opened in 1847, replacing the cemetery where the homeless and criminals were buried. It was named Reservoir Square after the Croton Distributing Reservoir, which supplied water to the whole residents going all the way from the Catskill Mountains. In the late 1880s, the reservoir was replaced by New York Public Library with Bryant monument nearby. You may recognize the place as it is associated with Carrie’s wedding.

15 min

Ever wonder where Carrie Bradshaw’s beautiful and glamorous apartment is? Walk around the block and discover the home of Carrie in Greenwich Village. It is a fashionable residential neighborhood of New York, which attracts not just tourists but also Sex and the City fans. Enjoy strolling the tree-lined streets and seeing the luxury townhouses and sweeping stairways. A big diversity of eateries and shops will make you spend quite a bit of time there.

10 min

The legendary apartment of Carrie Bradshaw where exterior scenes were shot at 64 Perry Street. Nevertheless, this spot has its history. For example, the owners of the residence have moved the number from 64 to 66, and they also encountered some long disturbances and property invasions from the Sex and the City fans. However, Carrie Bradshaw's address in the show is 245 east 73rd Street with the glamorous gigantic closet, indeed this rent-stabilized apartment was in the West Village. Nonetheless, the 66 Perry street has become on the main hotspots of the show and the owners even had to ask tour buses not to stop in front of the residence as well as blurring out the image of the house from the Google Maps.

15 min

Discover the fascinating architecture of Jefferson Market Library and see the place where Miranda got married. Built in High Victorian Gothic style, the structure is one of the most beautiful buildings in America. Marvel at its high original clock tower, and hear the story about its being on the verge of tearing down, but it survived due to a group of community preservationists. Remember the scene of Miranda and Steve saying “I do” at a lovely sight nearby the Library. The marrieds-to-be call it a “pretty, but not corny” location for their low-key wedding.

15 min

Even though the Magnolia bakery was shot less than a minute on season 3 of the show, it still became the cultural phenomenon for the Sex and the City fans. After the clip from the show where Carrie and Miranda ate cupcakes outside of the small corner at Magnolia Bakery. The original location of the bakery at Bleecker Street has started to be the tourist and fans favorite spot to come back to the episodes of the legendary show in real life. The Sex and the City gave the Magnolia Bakery the popularity and in the years since the company started to expand to more than 20 locations all around the world.

10 min

(Optional, if time allows) Oniel's has become known for being a part of the HBO Sex and the City TV Series. The bar stood in for SCOUT and owned by Carrie and Miranda’s ex-boyfriends, Aidan and Steeve. The bar proudly claims that it is famous for being the replacement for that “casually hip” bar. The main feature of the Grand Street Bar for any Sex and the City watcher is the interior and furniture design that Carrie made for her first boyfriend Aidan. The interior mostly consists of dark, shiny and hand-carved wood, but most importantly it feels like the bar was specifically built for the show and Aidan. The fans of the series would confirm this claim if recall Carrie’s quote upon her first time looks at the SCOUT: “There was no sign for him, but he was everywhere. In the mahogany bar, wood floors, carved ceiling. The whole place looked and felt just like Aidan.”

Tour Guide let it down.

Unfortunately the experience was not as good as we expected. The itinerary was fine and what we saw was fine. But the tour guide was not so great. He was not really so knowledgeable about SATC, only about the locations visited; he was however incredibly knowledgeable about other aspects of the city and other movie locations. He kept referring to the itinerary to see what was next. We took two buses and the subway during the tour, and had to pay even though the description infers its included. He wasn’t enthusiastic in his delivery, he just wasn’t at all what we expected from a guide on this specific tour. His Official Tour Guise badge also expired in 2024?! Using the itinerary we could have done this tour ourselves and not had the expense of a private tour. Gutted as it was a treat for my friends birthday. If there’s a refund, I’ll take it. If you can choose another tour or tour guide, take it!!

Give it a miss

Wasn’t value for money at all. Visited some sites from the show, including Carrie’s brownstone but most of the time the guide talked about unrelated sites. Give it a miss. Could have done it ourselves with a little bit of research.

Operator response

Dear Karina, Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that the tour did not meet your expectations. Our tour is carefully designed to include key filming locations alongside broader New York context, which many guests find adds depth and perspective to the experience. That said, we understand that you were hoping for a more exclusively show-focused tour, and we regret that this did not fully align with your expectations. We would also like to note that the overall experience on a private tour can be influenced by the level of engagement and interaction during the walk, as guides aim to adapt dynamically to the flow of the group. We appreciate your comments and will continue refining the experience to ensure it delivers both strong thematic focus and a well-balanced narrative. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts. Should you travel with us again, we would be happy to tailor a tour more closely to your specific interests and preferences. Warm regards,

Adam is very enthusiastic NYC tour guide

Adam my tour guide was very enthusiastic about touring the city & giving addtl nuggets of information about other movie landmarks as well as Sex in the City. It definitely was a lot of walking. I just wish there was more opportunity to see more sites of interest. But seeing Carrie Bradshaw's brownstone iconic stoop was worth it!!

Not a knowledgeable guide for this sex in the city tour

Very nice man who gave us the tour. HOWEVER, his knowledge (or memory) of the sex and City show was shaky at best. Mixing up characters, mixing up the show with the movie. On the positive, He supplemented with a lot of NYC history and other show/movie locations. We were a little frustrated and cut the tour short by an hour. In sum, not the experience we were expecting for a private intimate tour. I don't he should be assigned to this tour.

Just finished the WWII and Communism with Kamil from 100 Spires City Tours. Kamil is, without doubt, one of the best guides I've had during the many walking tours experienced throughout Europe. He was able to explain clearly and concisely the last hundred years of the complicated history of the Czech Republic keeping us interested , entertained and oftentimes moved by his narrative filled with anecdotes and stories. Perhaps, more importantly, he was able to give us a glimpse of the Czech psyche today, a result of all that the people have experienced in the past 100 years. Yesterday we did the Castle Tour with James which was also excellent. I cannot recommend 100 Spires City Tours enough !

Best experience during our visit to NYC

Reydeh was our tour guide, and I could not say enough positive about the experience she provided. Outside of being extremely knowledgeable and interactive during the tour, her effervescent personality makes it an experience to remember. She interacted with all the guests and addressed each one of us by name. During our tour, I set my bag down on the street to take pictures. Despite having a bus full of people to attend to, Reydeh has the presence of mind to spot the unattended bag and secure it for safety. The bag had many of my girlfriends belongings, many of whom were critical or irreplaceable. If I have the opportunity to return to NYC I hope to schedule a tour that she hosts because I know it will be enjoyable and worth the price!

Must experience!

Then tour was one of the main goals of our NYC trip. The actress giving the tour did not disappoint! We got to visit SJP shoe store, Carrie Bradshaw stoop, Aiden and Steve’s bar, and the list goes on! I have included pictures. Thank you for life long memories, definitely worth the money!
