Disappointed

The concept is not bad, instead of providing an actual path it gives many many granular places. also the audio quality was ok and the narrator easy to follow. However, there was staggeringly little substance and the test was full of recurring cliches (everything in vibrant, great, wonderful). The style brings AI to mind but the thin substance is odd, even the most basic sources would have told so much more.

Operator response

Hi Mikko and thank you for your extensive feedback! This is what makes us better. Happy to hear that you enjoyed the audio quality and narrator. If you click Explore > Routes you'll find a walking path between the most notable sights, as an alternative to the open map you are describing. I want to address the content concerns you are describing. I see your point regarded some recurring cliches. While the sheer quantity of around 100 stories makes some recurring phrases inevitable I see your point and have already brought this up with the team. We want all stories to feel unique. Substance: Having drawn our facts from publicly accessible sources means that some locations of lesser importance will have less substance than others. We have made the decision to keep these locations since our goal is to provide you with information and stories about all the city's notable places (we want you to be able to look at a building, wonder what it is and turn to the Trales map for answers). We do understand your feedback, however, and have already discussed how to address this. In our coming content update we promise to have addressed your concerns and hope that you will be willing to give the stories another shot at your next city adventure. All the best, Alexander & team Trales

It’s OK, if you want information

I get the idea of the walking tour. Calling a tour, however, is a little misleading. It provides you with information about sites and locations on a map. It doesn’t actually take you through point to point in a linear or specific direction. You kind of wander about your own way and when you come close to something, you can click on the information about that location. For the price of it, it was OK, but it wouldn’t be something I would do again.

Operator response

Hi and thanks for taking the time to rerview! We obviously want the product to be more than ok so your feedback is highly valued! Even though we've seen that most travelers don't actually follow a set path, and rather experience a bit more freely, we agree that creating walking routes would be a great compliment. Hence, we're adding this to the experience during 2025. So, we sincerely hope that you come back as we continously improve the experience (features, content) according to customer feedback. We're aiming for a five star review the next time you experience a European city using Trales. All the best!
