Experience Gothenburg from the water on the classic Paddan boat tour, one of the city’s most iconic sightseeing experiences. Departing from Kungsportsplatsen, the tour takes you through Gothenburg’s historic moat and 17th‑century canals, highlighting the city’s construction, defence and maritime heritage. With live guiding in Swedish and English, you’ll glide under 20+ low bridges and out toward the lively harbour. See traditional shipyards, the fishing harbour, and both modern and historic neighbourhoods. The open‑top boats offer panoramic views—so dress for the weather. This classic tour is ideal for exploring Gothenburg’s waterways and coastal character. Departures every 30–60 minutes from about 11:00–17:00. Great trip! Guide Leo was entertaining and informative! The 50-minute trip began in the canal then went out into the Harbour, down one side and across and up the other side. Landmarks were pointed out interspersed with historical facts. Then we traveled back into another canal along past the gardens, the hospital and the Prometheus statue and back to the starting point. Its always lovely to be out on the water and its a great way to see and learn about the city.

Easy on and off. Dedicated guide. Brief historical impacts around statues and places you passed on the tour. For a really historical review, a different type of tour is recommended. A beautiful journey through the canals of Gothenburg.

This was a great way to enjoy some sights and a general history of Gothenburg. The boat is accessed after descending stone steps and had comfy seats. Our guide was very friendly and worked hard to cram in a lot of facts in a light hearted and interesting way. Our fault, it was a sunny day but we should have had something to cover our shoulders; it was a little cooler in the large harbour
Fun overview of Gothenburg city layout and history. Gives one an appreciation for the industrial roots that led to this city’s success and expansion.

Great educational city tour via the canals of Gothenburg. Was a perfect way for us to see what the city has to offer for our very short visit of the area. Unfortunately, it did end up raining for half of it, but just added to the experience.

Booked with Viator. Really easy, good communication. Meeting point is easy to find. We boarded the boat, front seat! Our guide was lovely (forgotten his name!) It was last Sunday morning at 11.00am. The tour is a nice little boat ride for 50 minutes and takes you out to the port. It wasn't that busy and we enjoyed it. Worth doing and good value. Just long enough and the guide was informative. Worth doing.

The tour lasts 50 minutes and provides a good overview of the city. The guide was incredibly skilled, engaged and entertaining. A tour you as a tourist should not skip!
