Experience Gothenburg from the water on the classic Paddan boat tour, one of the city’s most iconic sightseeing experiences. Departing from Kungsportsplatsen, the tour takes you through Gothenburg’s historic moat and 17th‑century canals, highlighting the city’s construction, defence and maritime heritage. With live guiding in Swedish and English, you’ll glide under 20+ low bridges and out toward the lively harbour. See traditional shipyards, the fishing harbour, and both modern and historic neighbourhoods. The open‑top boats offer panoramic views—so dress for the weather. This classic tour is ideal for exploring Gothenburg’s waterways and coastal character. Departures every 30–60 minutes from about 11:00–17:00. Important Information
- Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller

- Strollers are allowed on board when space permits, preferably collapsible.
- Service dogs must be certified and wear a harness or vest indicating they are on duty. All service dogs must be pre‑booked through our booking department.
- Passengers must descend a staircase (12 steps) and then a few additional steps to board the Paddan boat.

We were on a trip with Ted and Filippa and are so pleased. Ted tells in an incredibly funny and exciting way. We cost ourselves so that 1h felt like 5 minutes. If there’s one thing you’re going to experience while visiting Gothenburg, it’s this trip.

Good tour, saw some really interesting and different views of Gothenburg. Guide was really good, the way he switched between Swedish and English was impressive 😀

I’ve loved doing canal cruises in other cities, and I think the paddan tour is a great way to see much of Gothenburg in a short amount of time. The guide was very personable and I enjoyed hearing about the history of the city. It is a shorter tour (less than 1 hour), and for the price, I wish it was slightly longer.

Definitely recommended. We had some time to smash in Gothenburg before the boat left for home. Done this tour. Guide Filip was very knowledgeable. Knew how to tell a lot and keep it fun and fascinating at the same time. Nice varied view of the city and harbor. Really fun to do. Even our 13-year-old son found it interesting and fun.
