Private Self-Guided E-Bike Ride in Tuscany with Vineyard Visit

Description
Ride our luxury E-Bikes on a beautiful self guided GPS route, from Florence to Fiesole where the route descends through some lovely cypress tree forests and past the castle Castello Di Vincigliata and into the village of Settignano where you can stop at the great little alimentary with home cooked tasty Italian food. From Settignano you visit PoggioPiano vineyard where you will meet the Galardi family, who are owners of an organic Chianti Vineyard and olive grove near Al Girone. There you will be able to relax in the estate with a glass of their Chianti wines produced on site, along with snacks of Tuscan cheeses, meats and bread drizzled with their own extra virgin olive oils. The route then takes you along dedicated cycle paths traversing the River Arno back into Florence, leading you up to Piazzale Michelangelo to take in the views of Florence's skyline from this iconic vantage point, before returning the bikes to conclude the fantastic e-bike experience.

Excellent experience despite the excessively high temperature. The initial presentation was perfect and allowed us to prepare well. Powerful and well-maintained bikes. It is also a very beautiful way to discover such a lovely region of Italy. The vineyard tour was unique. Warm and courteous staff, typical vineyard dishes prepared with care. And as a bonus, an excellent very refreshing rosé. An experience we highly recommend. Great activity. A first on electric bikes. Thank you again.
This gets you out of the city for a day! John was great and has a great sense of humor! We loved every minute of the tour! Be prepared and bring water. There are hills to climb but the e-bike helps tremendously! As long as you know how to use the e-bike you will be fine. The winery is worth the stop! Extremely friendly and the wine was great considering I am not a wine drinker. I just had to try it and I am glad I did. The olive oil is so pure I bought 3 bottles. If you want to get away from the crowd this is a must do. Thank you John!
Hands down one of the best bike rides we have been on and we bike regularly. I am 63 and my friend is 66. We downloaded Maps.me and John's route before we left the states. He gave us clear instructions on bike use and went over route. We ended up joining a wonderful group of 6 Canadian riders, (thanks again) and really enjoyed route. We stopped at Vineyard about half way mark and enjoyed glass of wine and charcuterie board, and a swim for $15 euros/per person. We went up quite a bit, bikes did great. We went through forests and saw things you would only see from bike. Coming back into Florence we road the streets no problem. Great people, great bikes , great route!!! Highly recommend
The ride is a little strenuous, but doable. The route and views are amazing. We saw Florence in a way we would have never seen in a car and couldn't have reached on foot. And the winery and town were beautiful. It was a fun day!
This was our favorite thing we did in Florence. John’s route is so perfectly planned, the directions easy to follow with stops marked for viewpoints and timed for a stop at a beautiful vineyard for lunch if you’d like. ( we purchased a charcuterie platter and had a wine tasting, ended up buying a bottle of wine, it fit fine in the attached bike bag) We highly recommend this self guided bike ride! Kathy and John (fairly fit 65 yr olds)
This was the prettiest bike ride I’ve ever taken and I’m so glad we spent our day in Florence this way! The proprietor of the business, John, was great and explained everything about the bikes to us, as we were all new to using e-bikes. John made us feel welcomed and appreciative of our business. He offers fantastic support so no worries if you break down or get lost - he’s there to help! I love supporting small businesses any opportunity I get and would not hesitate to rent from this company again when I return to Florence - it was a wonderful experience from beginning to end!
John was an excellent communicator and instructor. The tour was a wonderful way to escape the city and see the countryside. The vineyard was truly a delight, and the sites provided were gorgeous. We had 11 bikers in our group and the self-guided tour/app/gps allowed us to ride at our own pace. The bike ride was an intense and thrilling adventure! Thank you for such a memorable experience!
Absolutely a wonderful experience! From the patient explanation of the e-Bikes and route to follow on our phones, to the relaxing midway stop at the vineyard, and then the ride home, this really made our trip to Italy a very special memory for our family of 11 today. I’d give them a 10 star rating if I could.
E-bike tour was perhaps our favorite experience in Florence! John set us up well with bikes, map, tips, and humor. Countryside and views were stunning. Vineyard provided a delicious lunch with friendly staff (and adorable cat!). Riding through the city streets was a bit tricky at times and you definitely have to pay close attention to the map to stay on course for a few of the turns. It was completely worth those few nervous moments for the rest of the ride - what a great way to see an area and explore with independence! rest of the ride - what a great way to see an area and explore with independence!
Excellent experience and well worth the effort. Once you get acclimated to the bike gears and power levels, biking is very easy! John most helpful.
