We had an afternoon with David and Alejandro and they guided us through the Laguna. They prepared some great food and served beers, but the best part was the sailing and their stories. Highly recommend it.

We had an absolutely perfect experience! From the moment we stepped on board, Captain David and his first mate Alejandro made us feel welcome. They were incredibly friendly, professional, and shared so much interesting information about the lagoon, its history, nature, and wildlife. The sailing conditions were perfect, and we were able to enjoy the beauty of Bacalar Lagoon in the best possible way. One thing we especially appreciated was that they took us to quiet swimming spots away from the crowds, so we could enjoy the crystal-clear water almost completely by ourselves. The ceviche and guacamole were absolutely delicious and made the trip even more special. This was one of the highlights of our trip to Mexico. Beautiful experience for sailing on the lake. The crew, Davide and Marino, are experienced sailors and take you to beautiful places. We also went with them to a remote part of the lagoon, was only 1 other boat. Delicious guacamole and nachos got on the boat. In several places we were able to swim and meanwhile heard more about the lake, its history. The boat is well maintained, neatly kept clean and you can sit in several places (rear, front and inside the cabin).

We had booked the private cruise on the slot 10am-2pm. Largely living up to our expectations. The colors of the lagoon are magical. 2 stops swimming with a depth of 1 meter in translucent fresh water. It changed us from Tulum invaded by sargasms at that time. The crew Eugenie and David were great. Thank you to Eugenie, a Frenchwoman who has been living in Bacalar for 1 year and a half, very nice and anxious to make the experience fabulous. We enjoyed the opportunity to interact in French and learn about the history and issues surrounding the lagoon. Sunscreen prohibited anywhere on the lagoon, provide covering clothing. Departure of the cruise from the pontoon of an eccentric hotel in the center of Bacalar. You get on the sailboat directly, everything is fluid. In summary, activity we recommend if you want to avoid tourists' motorboats and enjoy an exclusive quiet time in nature.

We met Julian at our hotel and he helped us coordinate a spur of the moment sailing trip for our last day in Bacalar. We did a custom sunrise sailing trip for just my boyfriend and I and modified the time for our travel needs for a very aligned price too. The captain was very personable, he provided us with fresh coffee and pastries for our cruise. He communicated well and professionally. Made us feel very comfortable and taken care of. Highly recommend this route if you're looking for more of a lowkey, intimate local experience. It did not feel touristy like a lot of the other options. Loved that it was private. Went to a few denotes and got to swim for a little too.
