Experience 2.5 - 3 hrs of guided second-hand shopping in New York City with a personal shopper! New York is a fashion forward city, known for its stellar vintage shopping, but with so many great stores, it's easy to miss the city's best. Itinerary
Together we will visit 4+ shops for women's unique vintage + fun resale fashion, and accessories. Clothing sizes will range between 0 - 10 (small - medium) with fewer XS, L, XL sizes. Some shops will offer jewelry, handbags, shoes, belts, hats, and handbags. At some point we may hop a bus across town or even travel into Brooklyn to visit some more of my favorite shops. Your shopping experience will last 2.5 - 3 hours (including a short meet-up time to evaluate the group’s expectations). We’ll walk approximately 1.5 miles and spend 20 - 40 min at each location. Restrooms, food + beverages, and Wi-Fi are available at the meeting location. - Shop unique vintage + resale fashion (size 0 - 10) - Wear comfy shoes & clothes to easily change in + out of - Please eat before we begin - Bring your metro card or credit card to access subways + buses - Semi-private groups include up to 4 shoppers - Make this tour private when booking all 4 spots, and we’ll include a 5th spot free!
Our meeting spot: New York City’s iconic Eataly. A vibrant marketplace featuring everything Italian! Arrive early before our tour for delicious Italian coffee, meal, dessert or even an adult beverage!
Pass by the Flatiron Building built in 1902, designed by Chicago architect Daniel Burnham.
We will walk through the Flatiron District of New York City on our way to our first shop of fabulous finds in Chelsea.
We may walk through New York’s beautiful Madison Square Park where the original Madison Square Garden once stood in 1879 at the northeast corner of East 26th Street and Madison Avenue in Manhattan.
The Worth Monument was designed by James Goodwin Batterson, who founded Travelers Insurance Company, and was also involved in the design and construction of the United States Capitol and Library of Congress in Washington, D. C., as well as the New York State Capitol in Albany.
1884 Western Union Building - 186 Fifth Avenue is one of more than 130 branch building locations throughout New York City: Western Union Telegraph Company completed the first transcontinental telegraph line--the wires fabricated in iron--on October 24, 1861. Two days later the Government ceased operation of the Pony Express service
Tin Pan Alley was a collection of music publishers and songwriters in New York City which dominated the popular music of the United States in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It originally referred to a specific place: West 28th Street between Fifth and Sixth Avenues where George Gershwin began his career as a song plugger (sight reader) in New York’s Tin Pan Alley.
Depending upon the groups desire we may venture out to charming Williamsburg, Brooklyn where we can shop several stores for unique finds.
We will walk through the Greenwich Village known for the beatniks and artists in the 1960s where we will visit a couple of stores.
Depending upon the groups desire we may venture over to the East Village know for it's 1980s punk rock scene and alternative live music in the 1990s.

Our Tour Guide was supposed to take us shopping for a dress for a special occasion. She was not present with us and seemed to be preoccupied with buying fabric from the stores we visited. We never found anything and we ended the tour early when she suggested we go to Macy’s. Suzanne should probably stop being a guide sooner than later and find something she wants to do vs. feels obligated to do. My recommendation: choose a different tour, no smiles to be found here.
I was truly surprised and disappointed to receive your 1-star review, as I went above and beyond to help you and your wife during our time together. Prior to the tour, I spent an entire day scouting vintage shops on my own time to ensure they had a good selection of long formal and special-occasion dresses, knowing how quickly inventory changes. During our shopping, I actively worked with the sales staff, pulling dresses from the racks specifically for your wife — I was NOT shopping for fabrics, as your review suggested. Before the tour, we had a pre-call at your request where you shared that your wife was looking for a nice dress for her niece’s wedding. I clearly let you know that vintage shopping involves uncertainty (“you never know what we will find”) and encouraged you to keep other options open. You mentioned that your wife would enjoy the experience of looking. When I asked about her size, you described her as “proportionate” for her height of 5’4”. Based on that, I expected she would fall in the US size 4–8 range. Unfortunately, she wasn’t any of those sizes and only one dress fit her that day. I even suggested we visit Macy’s afterward, where they carry a much wider range of sizes and styles. In addition, I again went beyond and met you at the end of your morning tour and escorted you back toward the city. When you mentioned hoping to locate your car, I took you to Katz’s Deli, a recognizable landmark from which you could easily find it. I was especially surprised by the review because you handed me a $50 tip at the end of the day. I’m sorry the dress shopping didn’t turn out as hoped. Vintage clothing comes with inherent limitations I’m sorry the experience didn’t meet your expectations. Vintage stores have real limitations on sizing and availability, which I had mentioned upfront.

My teen son had an amazing experience shopping with Suzanne all over NYC! She tailored the experience to his tastes and he spent a small amount of money on a lot of terrific clothes. Suzanne is an expert on fashion and New York and is also a lovely and interesting person to hang out with. If you’re even thinking about booking a personal shopping day with Suzanne DO IT. I went in solo, wanting to take in the sights of NYC and sprinkle in some shopping magic. I booked the small group secondhand shopping experience not knowing what to expect—and ended up with a private day with Suzanne. Total jackpot. Suzanne is smart, fun, totally relatable, and so on trend she knows her stuff but doesn’t make you feel like you have to. I showed up with more vibes than style, and not once did I feel judged. She met me with kindness, expertise, and a sixth sense for reading my likes and dislikes. Literally halfway through the day she could tell by a glance or a head tilt if I wasn’t feeling something. “Oh, you don’t like that let’s find something you do like.” Body language baby! Suzanne was gold. Not only did I come away with some amazing pieces, but I also got a dose of NYC history, learned how to shop secondhand like a pro, and met some seriously cool people along the way. This was thee coolest and most unique tour I’ve done! It was like thrifting with a personal shopper. Susanne was great! She asked me questions to learn my style, then took me to different stores around the city. She then searched the store for try-on options which allowed me to step out of my comfort zone. I walked away with some amazing finds! She has an eye for great fabrics and quality pieces! 10/10 would recommend! Really cool experience!

Really fun and informative. Suzanne listens to your likes and dislikes. Tailors shops to fit your desires. We choose Brooklyn instead of Manhattan. We were Grandmother 78,daughter 50 and granddaughter 25. Diffferent tastes different products. She accommodated us all. Will help you shop as well as introduce you to wonderful places. Lots of fun.
