Enjoy a flexible private day trip to the scenic Mutianyu section of the Great Wall. Your English-speaking driver will pick you up from your central Beijing hotel in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle and take you directly to the entrance. Mutianyu offers stunning mountain views and is less crowded than other sections. Once there, you can explore the wall at your own pace (self-guided). Your driver will wait for you in the parking lot and bring you back to your hotel after the tour.

Hotel Pickup: Pickup from your central Beijing hotel at your chosen time. Transfer to Mutianyu: Scenic drive (about 1.5 hours) to Mutianyu Great Wall. Great Wall Exploration: Use your pre-booked entrance ticket. Spend flexible time (recommended 2.5–3 hours) walking on the wall, taking photos, and enjoying the views (self-guided). Optional Activities: Purchase cable car / chairlift up and/or toboggan down on site (extra cost). Return: Meet your driver in the parking lot and enjoy a comfortable transfer back to your Beijing hotel.

We had a great experience. Liu Chao is a very good driver, experienced and helpful. Offered to stop and helped us finding a good restaurant close to our hotel. Liu doesn’t speak English but is using an electronic translator. Worked perfectly fine for us. Liu parked close to the Chinese wall entry and showed us around. We would recommend him and his company. Five stars from very happy customers.
Mark is a fantastic tour guide, we started early for the Great Wall and he was thoughtful in bringing along water and snacks for our trip. We arrived early and it felt like we had the place to ourselves, he arranged all the tickets and suggested the walk path and photo points which were spot on.
This was my first time visiting Beijing and the Great Wall, and I highly recommend this self guided tour if you’re looking for transportation to and from the Great Wall. Alvin was professional and picked me up promptly at my hotel at the time specified. He was knowledgeable and quick with where to go throughout my Great Wall tour. He even helped take pictures for me and waited while I ate lunch. The ride to and from was comfortable and straightforward. I highly recommend him and this tour, and would do it again if given the opportunity.

What an experience! Nothing like it! Fantastic driver! His name was Kevin!! Great driver and speaks really good English! Dropped us off at places we could eat and shop if we wanted! I do wish he had let us off at the base of the entrance instead of taking us with him to park! The hike up to the cable cars is herendous, so the added on up hill walk from His car was ALOT! Would book with this company again for sure! Great communication

There are plenty of restaurants with a wide variety of options near Mutianyu Great Wall, including Muslim restaurants, vegetarian restaurants, and traditional Chinese dumpling restaurants. You just need to tell the driver in advance what kind of cuisine you would like. We look forward to welcoming you back to Beijing, the capital of China.
Our driver Zhou was very knowledgeable, safe and friendly. We had two elderly parents and a small child travelling in the group and he made every effort to make sure everyone was comfortable. He had great knowledge of the area and was able to bring us wherever we wanted. It was a great choice going with Mark and his team. We will definitely look for them again when we return to Beijing!
