Lunch is not included, but you can easily add a delicious meal on-site. Hotel Pickup: Your driver-guide will pick you up from your centrally located Beijing hotel in a comfortable private air-conditioned vehicle. Drive to Mutianyu: Enjoy a scenic 1.5-hour drive while your guide shares interesting stories about the Great Wall and Beijing. Arrival & Fast Access: Skip the regular shuttle bus with pre-booked fast-track tickets and head straight to the entrance. Ascend the Wall: Take the cable car or chairlift up to the Great Wall. Explore Mutianyu: Have plenty of time (usually 2–2.5 hours) to walk along the wide ramparts, visit watchtowers, and enjoy panoramic mountain views. Descent: Descend via toboggan slide if available and you choose (additional cost), or by chairlift/cable car. Note: Guests over 60 can only use the chairlift for descent. Lunch: Enjoy an included Chinese dumpling lunch at a local restaurant (vegetarian options available upon request; drinks at own expense). Return: Relax during the drive back to your hotel with drop-off service.

- The toboggan slide may be temporarily closed in case of rain. In such situations, the toboggan ride will be replaced by the chairlift (or cable car)
- No refund will be issued for the difference if toboggan is replaced by chairlift/cable car due to weather or safety regulations.

Everything was really great! My driver Jack was impeccable. Perfectly on time, very helpful without being overbearing. He bought the cable car and toboggan tickets for me. We had a VIP lane to the ticket barriers avoiding all the buses and shuttle crowds. I came back down early from the Great Wall and he was ready for me! We made a stop for tea tasting on the way back (recommended). What a perfect way to travel! Go early to the Great Wall! It gets very busy fast, very hot and there is some effort walking up and down the steps on the wall. The toboggan is great! Not as scary as I thought! Great time all around!
Mark was an excellent and knowledgeable tour guide. We visited the Great Wall and enjoyed the views as well as the toboggan ride. The views around the summer palace were also pretty. Driver was safe and efficient in getting to locations.

The ancient Great Wall winds along the mountain ridges. The best viewpoint is from the No. 6 Watchtower. After exploring the Wall, taking the Toboggan slide down from the top back to the entrance makes the whole experience much more fun and relaxing. Families with kids often love it so much that they even go for a second ride!

Thanks so much for your quick review! Sliding down the Great Wall on the Toboggan is such a fun experience. However, there have been longer queues lately, which can waste quite a bit of time. We recommend heading out before 7 AM on Mondays during the summer, or leaving the city at around 1:30 PM — both are great ways to avoid the crowds and long waits.

During Beijing’s holiday periods, it’s best to depart at 7:00 AM to avoid traffic congestion and long queues at the Great Wall entrance. Many guests choose to end their tour at the Forbidden City, or be dropped off at the Temple of Heaven in the city center. Thank you for your booking!

The tour with Mark was great. We left early to avoid the crowds he took us straight to the cable car and gave us a nice tour and some free time around the Great Wall. We did the toboggan on the way down which was fun.

We arrived at the Great Wall at around 9:00 AM, when there were very few tourists on the wall — perfect for taking photos. The Toboggan queue only started building up after 11:30 AM. Overall, it was a perfect Chinese Great Wall and Toboggan experience today.
