Private Machu Picchu Day Trip from Cusco by Train

Your journey begins with private hotel pick up in Cusco between 4:00 am and 4:15 am (previous coordination required). You will travel by private tourist transport to Ollantaytambo (2,792 m), a journey of approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes. At the Ollantaytambo train station, you will board the train to Aguas Calientes (2,040 m), also known as Machu Picchu Pueblo. The train ride lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, offering scenic views of the Sacred Valley and the Urubamba River.

Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes (around 8:00 am to 8:30 am), your private guide will meet you for direct assistance. After optional breakfast (not included), you will take the shuttle bus up to the entrance of Machu Picchu.

The guided tour follows the traditional circuit and lasts approximately 2 hours. To conclude the tour, you will descend by bus to Aguas Calientes. Depending on your train schedule, you may have time for lunch (not included). Later, you will board the return train to Ollantaytambo, where your private transport will be waiting to take you back to Cusco. Drop off is near your hotel or the historic center in the evening.
