Amazing private tour for me and my husband. My husband is fourth generation Chinese Hawaiian American of Hakka descent (we think)….. and we wanted to learn more. Danny, our guide, was an absolute joy and the driver so professional and courteous. Danny was extremely knowledgeable and answered all our questions. He was funny and kind and made us laugh! Getting out of Taipei and riding the local Love Train and visiting the local market made it interesting. Preparing the Hakka traditional tea from grinding peanuts, sesame, tea itself topped the day! Private tour costs more, but we feel worth the treat!
We had a great trip with our tour guide, Alan, and driver, Mr Wong. They were very attentive to the elders and helpled to pace the tour which was very enjoyable. The lei cha experience was really fun and memorable - working hard to grind the ingredients for the amazing drink. Loved the Hakka local markets and got to try loads of delicious Hakka delicacies. We hope to visit the places again. Thank you!

The tour was well organized and Kenny the tour guide was very accommodating of my parents who gets distracted and wanders off to look at various things! The highlights are taking the old railway train, walking around the traditional market and the DIY thunder tea which was delicious and worth the effort.

We had a great day with Kenny our guide and Jason the driver from Edison travel service who had good English and could understand all the information he told us about the Hakka ethnic group in Taiwan. Although, the weather was abit cloudu and rainy it was something that we will put into the great banks of memories as we we learnt alot of new things about Taiwan and grinding our own special Hakka tea! Highly recommended tour for those wanting to learn more and outside the hustle and bustle of Taipei!
