Bozena was a friendly, knowledgeable, energetic guide. Having toured the Baltic capitals, Gdansk was our favorite.
The old city was great. So was the Solidarity Museum. The guide gave us amazing history from ancient times through the fall of the Soviet Union and its impact on the three cities.
We thoroughly enjoyed touring Gdansk with Lukasz. He picked us up right off the ship and drove us to the various sites of interest. Lukasz was very knowledgeable, and we learned so much about Poland's storied past. Gdansk is a beautiful city, and I felt we saw a lot in our 3-4 hour tour! Highly recommend!!!
We spent a wonderful day with Bozhena (I hope I have spelled this correctly!) She was very friendly, knowledgeable and fun to talk to. She always asked if we would like to see something and accommodating of what we wanted to see and do. It couldn’t have been nicer from the start to the finish. We walked the old town and learned about the history. It is a charming town. We then moved on to the ship yards to pay respects and learn more than we had known about the brave people that stood up for their rights. So glad we went there. We then went to Oliwska, were treated to some local, delicious pastries, and walked through a beautiful park with many different trees and beautiful flowers. At the end of this walk it was a real treat to hear an organ concert in a beautiful church. We ended the tour at Sopot on the Baltic Sea. It is a charming sea town resort with a long pier that we walked out on. We were fortunate to have a beautiful day with bright blue skies and the sea as well.
