Immerse yourself in the beautiful Provence wine region! You will get several private visits of high quality wineries, carefully selected by our wine experts. With your guide, discover the best of Provence appellations and learn about the grape varieties Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Cinsault … and the complex art of blending. This wine tour is a great opportunity to taste some of the finest Rosés from Provence but also powerful reds, and aromatic and lively whites. You will complete your shore excursion by visiting one of the most beautiful Provence towns/cities: Cassis or Aix en Provence or Lourmarin.

You will meet your english-speaking wine expert guide at 9am (other departure time possible - to be defined with you after your booking) in front of your hotel or accommodation located in Marseille, Aix en Provence, Avignon, or any village from the Luberon or the Alpilles.

When submitting your booking request, please provide us with the address of your hotel or rental, while being in Provence, for the pick-up. We will not be able to confirm booking without this information.

- Minimum drinking age in France is 18 years
- Departure/ return times will be confirmed after your booking depending on where your accomodation or Hotel is located.
- The town or city (Cassis, Aix en Provence or Lourmarin) where you'll go for the lunch break will be confirmed with you after your booking, according to the itineraries available on your date from your accomodation and your preference.
- If your accomodation is located too far away from the area where we are operating, we will inform you within 48 hours following your booking and you’ll be refunded.
- Don't forget to bring appropriate shoes, sun protection (sunglasses, hat, sunscreen...) and a water bottle
- The tour is not suitable for children under 10. For children under 10, please contact us in advance

We were two couples from California and Colorado, traveling through France with part of our trip being a Rhône river cruise from Avignon to Lyon. We booked a private tour to Chateauneuf-du-Pape on June 5th 2026 hoping to avoid the more touristy and crowded wine tasting and tour experiences. Our expert guide Eric picked us up exactly on time at our ship’s dock and took us to two smaller, family owned wineries followed by lunch at a beautiful restaurant high atop a hill overlooking the region. Eric was friendly, personable, and highly knowledgeable. His background as a winemaker was a wonderful enhancement to our lovely experience. If you are looking for a more intimate wine experience away from the crowds, don’t hesitate to book a private experience with Provence Wine Tours, and request Eric to be your guide. Highly, highly recommend!

Chateauneuf du Pape tour....Stephan was the ideal guide, a safe driver, patient with our questions and extremely knowledgeable. Everywhere he was greeted warmly by local wine staff which says a lot. Highly recommend

Stephane took wonderful care of us during two days of private tastings. We did the Provence tour as well as the Bandol and Cassis tour, and both were incredible. We were in a Mercedes van, which comfortably accommodated our group of 7. The company even set lunch reservations for us. Stephane was good about asking if he could take photos, which we really appreciated. Highly recommend!

Just wow. My husband and I booked this tour as a part of our honeymoon trip. The communication was prompt and answered all of my questions. Eric was our guide and he was so excellent. We let him know upfront that we don’t know much about wine- he was so knowledgeable about quite literally everything. We went to some beautiful locations, had some great wine, and learned a lot. Provence Wine Tours was fabulous! Our guide, Loris, was a knowledgeable sommelier and a very personable individual. We enjoyed the variety of vineyards and the olive tasting, which included a visit to the actual olive making process. Our lunch on the terrace was memorable-we all highly recommend this tour!
