As the largest temple complex in Egypt, in Karnak, a village about 2.5 km north of Luxor and directly on the eastern bank of the Nile. The oldest building remains of the temple still visible today come from the 12 dynasty under the Pharaoh Sesostris. Outstanding among the ruins are the Temples of Amun-Re with a total of ten pylons. The total area of the temple is about 30 hectares. The largest area of the temple complex is the Amun district. Among other things, you can see the holy lake, the red chapel, the white chapel as well as the alabaster chapel and the temple of Opet. Of course, there is a lot more to explore in the Karnak Temple.

The Valley of the Kings was a necropolis in ancient Egypt. In ancient Egypt, the Valley of the Kings was called Sechet-aat (the great field). It is the largest necropolis of the Egyptian pharaohs. The tombs of the rulers of the new empire can be found in the Valley of the Kings. The valley is located in Thebes-West, opposite Karnak on the edge of the desert and is lined with high mountains. Despite millennia of activity of excavations and looting, the Valley of the Kings still provides Egyptologists with numerous extremely valuable grave finds. In 1922, the tomb of Tutankhamun was discovered largely intact by Howard Carter. The first clearly identified tomb in the Valley of the Kings comes from the Pharaoh Thutmose I. With Napoleon's expedition to Egypt the systematic search and opening of tombs began. In the Valley of the Kings you will visit three selected tombs.
The Colossi of Memnon are two colossal ancient Egyptian statues from the 14th century BC. You are in the Nile Valley not far from the Valley of the Kings in Thebes-West. The quartzite statues represent King Amenhotep III sitting on a throne. The statues are still around 18 meters high, including the base.
the mortuary temple of Hatshepsut dates from the 18th dynasty and is the best preserved temple in Thebes on the west bank of the Nile. The entire temple complex was built from limestone. This temple was built within about 15 years, from the 7th to the 22nd year of Queen Hatshepsut's reign. The temple has its own idiosyncratic architecture.

A very successful and well organized excursion. The program included: happy getting up, 4 h car ride into the sunrise and into the Nile Valley, Karnak temple, Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut temple (Alternative Habu temple), small Nile boat ride, lunch and 4h minibus back. A long but rewarding day. Our private tour was accompanied by the safe and very friendly drivers Mohamed and Ahmed. The tour on site was conducted by the German-speaking guide Markus. There was much to learn and all questions were answered patiently. The tickets were already available so you could save yourself a long queue. We were enthusiastic about the millennia-old well-preserved inscriptions with partly still original color. Oh, hell. An unforgettable tour to recommend.
It was a great trip. The organization was great. A contact person was always available. Our tour guide Markus informed us great and fulfilled our wishes, Great temple seen, nice little private boat trip and delicious food to finish. I would definitely stay again.
The trip was great. The tour package was round. The journeys from El Quseir to Luxor (and back) were fast. The food in the restaurant was good and delicious. The Nile trip came at just the right time as a rest element. I was particularly impressed by your guidebook Raafa. Competent, thoughtful and with overview. I felt very well picked up. It was a great experience. The transfer of Marsa Alam worked great. The driver Haitam was very friendly and attentive, took great care of our Well, I'm fine. Always cold drinks on board and fast drain. The guide Daniel has worked out a great program. Again, speedy operation without pushing us. It's great. 👍👍👍 I'd love to go again.
We can definitely recommend the trip! Already the booking went very friendly and reliable. Our two drivers picked us up at the hotel on time. Both were very nice and tried to make the long drive (4.5 hours) as pleasant as possible. In Luxor our guide Nasch has boarded. He adapted the program to our wishes and organized everything great. As an Egyptologist, he has imparted a lot of new knowledge to us in perfect German, very entertainingly. He also included our 3 children (10-14 years) great. The temples and tombs are really very beautiful and impressive. They are definitely worth the effort! At noon we went to an Egyptian restaurant with a cheerfully colorful motorboat. The food was delicious and the atmosphere relaxed. Finally, our drivers dropped us off safely at the hotel again. It was a busy but very nice day!
