Private Day Trip to Chittorgarh Fort from Udaipur

Priyanshu, my driver was very friendly, he spoke great English and he is an excellent driver. He also was very knowledgeable about the fort which gave the context I needed to understand the importance and the history of the place. It was a fantastic experience!

We were underwhelmed with the professionalism of this tour. It was difficult to communicate with the operators, driver, and tour guide since they did not speak English fluently (even though it is listed as English friendly when purchased). The guide was a sweet guy and seemed to be roped in at the last minute, we he could not understand our questions so it wasn't a very informative tour. The driver did not speak a single word and made everyone feel uncomfortable with his reckless driving. I would not book them again.

The guide provided was excellent and gave us a good insight into Rajasthan history and how the fort fitted into it. He pointed out much that we would have missed if we had been alone.

Chittorgarh Fort is a must-visit if you’re in Rajasthan. This enormous fort brims with history and grand architecture. To fully appreciate its rich heritage, I recommend arranging a guide through a local contact, agency, or upon arrival (no need to do it in advance). The guide will bring history to life as you walk through the vast complex of ruins, temples, and walls, spanning many kilometers. The experience is truly immersive, making it one of the most memorable sites in Rajasthan. This ancient marvel is worth every moment spent exploring its expansive grounds.

Punctual. Hari was a cheerful, safe driver. Dilip Sharma was an excellent local guide. Chittorgarh is spectacular and a worthwhile day trip from Udaipur. Tour conducted at your pace - I was solo traveller. Good lunch place (not included). Car and guide are value for money.

Pros: On time and kind driver. Guide was nice. Cons: if you’ve ever been to a timeshare sales pitch this felt like it. I was asked to tip at temples, and then at the end was led to a cafeteria and asked to look at and buy marble paintings. When I said no to that, they took me to a tourist trap restaurant. It seemed liked it was all just part of the tourist experience. Again, nice driver, but I would just book a local tour company instead of paying the inflated price for this experience.

Great day out. Our driver Moti and our guide Mr. Suri were both professional and friendly - we got loads of info about the fort, the complex and the general area. Motilal is also a very responsible driver and we felt safe and cared for throughout the journey.

Overall really good experience with Rajputana Cabs! We gave them a call, price was quickly negotiated and confirmed. Paid a part of the amount upfront and rest to the driver at the end of the trip. The driver was respectful and good. He arrived on time - the whole trip was really smooth. Chittor garh fort is explored by car - so driver took us to all the points one by one. Around 6-7 PM we were dropped back to the hotel! Thanks Rajputana cabs

The visit brings more and more pride to our cultural heritage. The guide was very detailed and driver very patient. We got some of the best clicks with me and my mother who wanted to see Chittor since she was a young girl.
