We are very satisfied with the day trip! We had a great German-speaking Egyptologist named Markus as our tour guide by our side. We booked the tour to Cairo for 2 adults and 2 children, aged 9 and 10, directly through the organizer and received a WhatsApp confirmation immediately. All information provided directly in German. The tour is paid for in cash during the excursion; no deposit is required. As agreed, we were informed of the exact pickup time via WhatsApp one day before the excursion and were then picked up promptly at 2:30 AM in the lobby of our hotel. The minibus was not the newest, but the seats were comfortable, and since there were only four of us, we had enough room to get some more sleep on the way to Cairo. There was a cooler in the vehicle with water, Fanta, and Coke. The two drivers informed us briefly in German about the itinerary, and then we set off. The drive took approximately 6 hours. We then stopped in Cairo, and Markus, our tour guide, got on and greeted us in very good German. He talked to us about the daily goals and let us choose for ourselves in what order we wanted to see what. He also let us choose whether he should accompany us to the pyramids, Sphinx, and museum, or whether we wanted to explore the sights on our own. We were also free to decide the time for lunch at a local hotel restaurant. We asked Markus to stay by our side at all destinations and received a lot of interesting information and stories, were able to ask questions at any time, and all curious children's questions were answered very nicely. In addition, there were valuable tips for photo spots. In the new Egyptian Museum, we had a great private tour of the most important attractions with top-notch explanations. Since there is so much to see that it is enough for a whole day and the labeling is in English and Arabic, Markus' German tour was worth its weight in gold. The whole day was tightly organized, but we never felt rushed. Then we headed back to the hotel with a 30-minute break for the drivers at a rest stop along the way. We had a great day. It was simply perfect. Starting with our driver Hilal, who was extremely friendly, engaging, and pleasant. He even treated our children to dinner. Our Egyptologist Markus was simply amazing. He spoke perfect German and left no question unanswered. We had a wonderful day with nothing to complain about.

The trip with Zakhairous was great. We (my son, who is 10 years old, and I) were picked up on time at 2 PM at the hotel and drove to Cairo. The two drivers were very nice, especially to my son. They fully included him in the trip. We were able to sleep for a few more hours quite well. During the drive, we were well informed about the area. In Cairo, we picked up our guide Markus (an Egyptian). He spoke perfect German and guided us according to our wishes around the Giza Plateau and the new museum. He was able to answer all questions perfectly and provided us with a lot of background knowledge. The lunch was good. And the return trip was even shorter but still very entertaining. We can only recommend Zakahairous. I simply booked via WhatsApp.

The flight tickets were sent as a PDF a few days in advance. The pickup at the hotel was punctual and the drive to Hurghada Airport was quick. The domestic flight to Cairo was on time. In Cairo, we were picked up by Markus, our German-speaking guide, outside the airport building. The driver Achmed was waiting not far from the exit with the car. During the drive to the center, we finalized the details of the excursion, including which sights we would visit when and how much time would be allocated for each. We saw the old town, briefly the bazaar, the pyramids, the valley temple, and the Sphinx. The lunch at the restaurant was good and plentiful. They catered to our individual wishes. Markus took care of everything. After the meal, we went to the New Egyptian Museum where we spent nearly three hours before being taken to the airport on time. In Hurghada, the driver was waiting to take us to the hotel. The excursion lasted from 5:30 AM to 11:00 PM. Although we were tired, this program is highly recommended because it allows you to see the maximum number of sights in a short time without exhausting yourself too much. We had 42 degrees in the shade in Cairo that day. It was still not a problem for us. Markus is a brilliant guide. He pointed out both the major and the very small sights and followed a narrative during our stay at all locations, usually showing the best at the end. Markus also pointed out special things at other locations that he referred back to later. This made our time together very enjoyable, and we laughed a lot. While driving from place to place, we saw a lot of Cairo and crossed the Nile twice. I cannot recommend that people from Germany without Arabic knowledge and local knowledge undertake such a tour on their own. It may cost less, but it is impossible to learn so much about Egypt and Cairo in such a short time. That indeed takes more time, which in turn incurs more costs. Therefore, this excursion is my clear recommendation. We would book this again at any time.
