Itinerary
The crown jewel of this trip, the Stegastein mountain viewpoint, stands at 650 meters above sea level. It offers an awe-inspiring panoramic view of the Aurlands Fjord. There are only two things to do here: first, behold and then capture the moment with your phone. After 10-15 min, we will head out towards Flåm
Flåm is a picturesque Norwegian village that has been a tourist attraction for a more than hundred years, and now it attracts about half a million tourists each year. We will spend around 45 minutes here. First, you can have some lunch, if you have packed with you. Or you can roam around the village center to find a suitable restaurant or street-food kiosk. You can also enter the souvenir shop to collect a memento. There is a railway museum which can also be visited if you want.
Tvindefossen (The Tvinde Waterfall) is 110 meters high and one of the top 10 tourist attractions in Norway. Optional. See pricelist
Included in alternative 2. The Viking Experience: Switch the time machine on and enter the Viking era by visiting the Viking village. Feel it for yourself- how it was like in a Viking community. It is also possible to participate in archery and axe-throwing or learn to play the Viking games. Smell the tar and bonfires, and join the daily activities of the Vikings. The village, known as "Njardarheimr", named after the northern god Njord is situated near Flåm. You will be provided with an entry ticket to this place which includes a 45-minute guided (in English) trip in the village. In addition, or alternatively, you can explore the village on your own. You can also buy lunch and Viking handcraft souvenirs outside the Viking village.

The Viking Valley guided tour was excellent. The fjord and countryside was beautiful to drive through.
The tour locations were nice. The Viking village was interesting. The driver was there on time and nice. The problem we had was that it was called a private tour, while it was it was private it was more of a transport to the locations not really a tour. We’ve been on tours that spanned large distances before and the driver generally talks about the area, give information and stories. It’s a good way to get to all of the locations but a bit awkward when it’s just you and your group but it feels weird to have a conversation.
The viewpoint is just breathtaking if you are lucky enough to go on a good weather day. We had fantastic weather and went very early on in tourist season so had the viewpoint all to ourselves. The waterfall was fantastic and we enjoyed getting a light lunch in Flåm bakery. Something to bear in mind is if you specifically want to see waterfalls and/or get out of the vehicle to do some physical exploring such as rambling, hiking or paddling, be sure to flag this significantly with the driver as otherwise it is not suggested. Our driver started off very quiet but after he noticed our enthusiasm he quickly became helpful, informative and adventurous. Cannot recommend getting this private tour over a group tour highly enough - the driver was very accommodating to our particular interests and adventurous appetite. The vehicle was extremely comfortable.
Wonderful trip. Drone videos and road viedos that we bought extra will be a great memento for the future.
View from the View Point was stunning. Weather fantastic. Flexible driver. Glad we did not do the milking experience.
We are pleased to know that! Thanks for leaving us a review.
Trip is very long, no stops on the way except of toilet breaks we passed so many beautiful places, no commenting, it's not worth the money you pay. As train and fiord cruise wasn't included in this experience we didn't understand the Flam visit, there were more beautiful places on the way. Most of the time we spent in a car traveling, It's far too expensive for what you get.
We are very sorry that the trip fell short of your expectation. While we appreciate you leaving comments for us, we would like to put some humble, clarifying words in response to your comments. Our policy is to allow the customers to savor the sceneries with their friends and family in quietude. And anyway, many beautiful sceneries are to be found along the mountainous highways where the driver is very busy in driving. However, our driver-cum-guides are instructed to engage in discussion or conversation if the travelers wish so. With a total trip time of about 9-10 hours (which is clearly mentioned in the webpage), we have stop for at least 3 hours in 3 stops (Viking village for 2 hours, Flam for about 1 hour and Stegastein for 15 minutes). Including more planned stops would actually make it even longer and tiring for the travelers. Therefore, we encourage our customers to ask the driver-cum-guide to take a pause whenever they feel like stretching their legs. According to the driver-cum-guide who hosted you, you were asked at least two times if you would have a break, but you apparently denied both times.
Do not miss it. Such a wonderful trip, and knowledgeable, considerate guide. I loved it. The view in Stegastein is breath-taking, and Flam is an amazing little village. Try the bakery for your lunch there. I bought the viking village option, and I that was a great idea. For a while you would be in the viking era. And the drone video+images which I bought in addition was a great idea. Little bit expensive perhaps, but it is an expensive drone too. Anyway, it was totally worth it. Viator should allow uploading videos and HD images. Do not miss this trip when you are vising Bergen!

We booked the Stegastein and Flam tour and had a great experience. We could not have asked for a better guide. Juba was an excellent guide and took wonderful care of us. I highly recommend this tour. It’s engaging, informative, and very enjoyable. Would give 6 stars if they let me.

An exceptional private tour! Obaid, my tour guide, was outstanding - his English was impeccable, driving sure and confident and knowledge of the area unparalleled. One of the best local guides I have had the privilege of interacting with. He connected with me via WhatsApp. on the morning of the tour and picked me up at my hotel on schedule. Obaid was very accommodating and personalized our tour to make it accessible for my visual impairment. The drive to Stegastein, nearly 3 hours, was spectacular, through mountain roads with unique vistas, snowy fields and immaculately maintained tunnels. Stegastein was a wonder! What a view from the outcropping observation deck that overlooked one of the most amazing views I have ever encountered in my many travels. About 30 minutes later, we were at Flam, a picturesque village with cute shops and great views is a must-do in the area. In the chilly winter afternoon, the warmth and comfort of the local restaurant was a welcome break. After a delicious lunch of grilled salmon and roasted veggies, we were headed back to Bergen. The drive was smooth and conversation flowed well. Obaid, an edited and interesting young man, was a globe-trotter and shared fun stories of the many countries and places he and his wife had visited. The time zipped by and we were back in Bergen, about 9 hours after we had started. 5 stars doesn’t even come close to the quality of this tour, it was above and beyond that!

Rain was forecasted, yet we chose to try our luck. And it turned out to be great! We were lucky and rain was interrupted for a long period of time and we enjoyed wonderful views. Memoriable! The driver kindly stopped at the Tvinde waterfall. Loved it!
