While exploring the peaceful, unspoiled south east Naxos onboard with buru_boat we want you to know: The fresh fish we serve onboard isn't just “local.” It's personal. Every morning, we get our catch from Captain Dimitris (galanogiannis_boat), a fisherman who has worked hand in hand with us the last three years and without whose help and support serving fish onboard would not have been the same. No middlemen, no frozen shipments, just what the sea offers to Captain Dimitris that day, respectfully taken and lovingly prepared for you to enjoy on deck, surrounded by the same Cycladic waters it came from. Everything we cook and serve is bio, real, seasonal, and full of flavor. We hand harvest sea salt from the rocks near Panermos, gather wild capers and pick lemons and oranges from our family’s trees. We collect and dry oregano and other herbs and we produce and use only our own olive oil. Most of the things you taste, if not everything, are locally sourced. Savor the journey with us!

From Panermos Bay, heading to the mystical Rina's Sea Cave, indulge in the finest authentic flavors with a Naxian private chef on board as you sail and explore South East Naxos like a local on a traditional wooden "Varkalas" boat. Every dish served is carefully crafted using fresh, locally sourced fish and ingredients, highlighting the flavors of Naxos. From expertly grilled seafood and seasonal vegetables to self harvested sea salt and capers, dining onboard offers the ultimate combination of savoring the sea, right on the sea.
We'll cruise past and stop at a series of natural, secluded bays, rich with history and authentic Cycladic charm and we'll also anchor in Rina's cave beach, where you’ll have the opportunity to swim inside the cave, explore its hidden natural water springs, or dive off the cliffs. We provide snorkeling gear and swimming aids for all levels, so everyone can enjoy the water safely and comfortably.
After we visit the cave and enjoy a refreshing swim, we’ll anchor in a quiet bay picked depending on the weather and the wind of the day. It’s the perfect time to kick back, enjoy the seafood meal on board, and soak up the sun. No rush, just good food, good vibes, and a beautiful sea all around.
After swimming, exploring and eating we will head back to Panermos Bay.

This was hands down the best part of our trip to Naxos! Our hostess was amazing! She was easy to communicate with, friendly when we met her, and informational about the islands around us! The wine was delicious, the cave was fun for adults and teenagers alike, and the food was amazing! No one in our family had ever had cold fish before. The starters were absolutely delicious! Even our kids who hesitate to try new things loved it! The main course was cooked fish that they had caught that day. By far, the best meal we had on our stay on the island! Highly recommend this cruise for families with kids 10 years old and up or couples. We left this cruise for the last day on the island and it was the best choice we could’ve made! Even the drive down to the port was stunning.
This was an asking day. Great crew. Incredible guide. Fabulous food. Would lightly recommend this activity from wherever you are located on Naxos.

Our best experience while 12 days in Greece. Voula, Popi and Captain Dimitris are simply amazing. It's a 1.5 hour drive to the other side of Naxos, but worth every minute of mountain roads. Pulling up to a dirt road and a port with only 4 boats, we didn't know what to expect. We were tired and a little dizzy from the drive and then found the boat, got on and Voula was our host talking us through southern Naxos while Captain Dimitris cruised along the coast. More swimming than what we expected (a good thing) and hands down one of the best meals of our lives from Chef Popi. The conversation, food, scenery and boat was magical. We took our 15 and 18 yr old's and it's their favorite as well. Look up bura_boat on instagram!
Our family of four just loved this private boat trip. We truly enjoyed the personal, local experience and learned so much about Naxos life and history from Voula. The swimming and scenery were spectacular and we were able to mostly avoid the big boats with large groups. The food was the best we had on Naxos! I just can’t say enough good things, highly recommend this private experience, it was worth the cost for our family!
We went as a family of 8 adults and 2 children and had an absolutely fantastic time on our Buru boat excursion with Voula and Demitris. From the moment we stepped aboard, the crew was incredibly welcoming, professional, and attentive. The boat, an authentic Greek wood boat, was exceptionally clean, spacious, and comfortable, with plenty of shaded seating and room to move around to take photos. Voula shared great local history and wildlife facts. The lunch that they served was delicious with fresh local fish, products and wine! We truly appreciated that she made sure everyone on board was having a great time and even took photos of us that she shared. This trip was the highlight of our vacation! If you are looking for a relaxing, fun and exceptional activity, I cannot recommend this excursion enough.
Oh my goodness!! Wonderful day. The drive there was a little far, about an hour for us. Worth the drive. And you get to see parts of the island we would not have seen. The staff and crew were exceptional. Truly a local experience. The food was so delicious, fresh, local. Beautiful water. We swam in the cave. And driving back we stopped in the coolest town. Enjoy!!
Where to start? The boat - beautiful and comfortable…the people - friendly and engaging ..the location - heaven on Earth and the food- best food in Greece. Everything was so fresh and deliciously prepared. It was really a perfect afternoon. If you are on the fence, book it!!
Absolutely rent the car, make the drive and soak up this magical experience! We had 2 hotel/rental folks try to talk us out of making this drive but it was 100% worth it! Exploring the beautiful island of Naxos was our best day of our Greece trip. The drive is an adventure in itself, we zig zagged up mountain roads, had to stop for several herds of sheep and goats but also enjoyed visiting several unique villages while on our way to meet the boat. Voula and Cap Demetre were incredible hosts. They found us the best little bays for swimming (since it was a bit windy and we needed some protection from the waves) as well as took us to cliff jump from Rina’s Cave and swim inside. The crystal clear waters were magical! The lunch they prepared on board was fish that were fresh caught by Cap and so flavorful. The cheese on our salad was made fresh that morning by his father from their goats. Even the salt and capers were harvested by Voula! Such authentic and delicious food to enjoy while soaking up the view. To have such a wholesome, hospitable experience on this trip is exactly what we had hoped our day would be. Rent the car. Make the drive. Enjoy this experience!!!
This private boat tour was hands down the highlight of our trip. We almost didn’t book it because of the drive from Naxos Town, but we are so glad we did. It was beyond worth it. The boat itself was incredible, and the entire experience felt special from start to finish. We learned so much about the island along the way, which made it even more meaningful. And the food… truly outstanding. Everything was so fresh and delicious, one of the best meals we had on the trip. We’re still talking about this experience and would 100% do it again the next time we’re in Naxos. Highly, highly recommend.
