The Great Park is a public park located in Irvine, California, with a focus on sports, agriculture, and the arts. The Great Park is home to the NHL Anaheim Ducks training facility, Wild Rivers waterpark, FivePoint Amphitheatre and a world class sports complex. It is a non-aviation reuse of the decommissioned Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) El Toro.
San Clemente is known for its beaches, Spanish Colonial Revival architecture, and hospitality industry. San Clemente's city slogan is "Spanish Village by the Sea".
Dana Point with its marinas and eclectic boutiques, is a jumping off point for dolphin and whale-watching cruises. Surf waves roll onto nearby Doheny State Beach and Salt Creek Beach, which is backed by a grassy park.
Laguna Beach is easily one of the most beautiful coastal cities in California. It’s known for its many art galleries, coves and beaches. Main Beach features tide pools and a boardwalk leading to the paths and gardens of nearby Heisler Park. Aliso Beach Park is a popular surf spot. The waters off Crystal Cove State Park are designated as an underwater park. Trails meander through coastal canyons in Laguna Coast Wilderness Park.
Newport Beach is known for its large, boat-filled harbor, Fashion Island outdoor shopping mall and 8 harbor islands. The most popular is Balboa Island. Large mansion estates and unbelievable resort properties cover the hills in Newport Coast. Balboa Peninsula has 2 piers and the Balboa Fun Zone, an old-school amusement park with a Ferris wheel and ocean views. Local beaches include Corona del Mar and the Wedge, known for its big waves.
Huntington Beach is known as Surf City USA. Popular for large sandy beaches and the famous Huntington Beach Pier. The city hosts the US Open of Surfing and Pacific Airshow during the summer months.
John Wayne Airport (KSNA) is the home airport for Joy Air. During departure and arrival you will see and listen to aircraft of all shapes and sizes.

I graduated A&P school so I wanted to treat myself with a solo tour. I was blessed enough to have Bruce as my pilot, he was amazing! Very professional, friendly, and overall a great guy. He was nice enough not just to fly me and show me the beautiful view from up high, but explained to me how everything worked. I extremely recommend taking this tour, everyone should do it at least once in their lifetime!! Thank God for pilots like Bruce.
A great experience! We had Wes as our pilot and he was amazing! Since I mentioned I was a student pilot he went into more detail on the communications side of things. We will definitely be back! Fly with Joy Air all the way!

Joy Air accommodated a same-day request to get us in the air for my 40th birthday, and it turned into one of the most memorable experiences I’ve had. Lingering at altitude in a smooth, fixed-wing aircraft with a personable, engaging, and professional pilot was an extraordinary experience. I flew with my best friend and my 2.5-year-old son, who was beyond excited to “go up, up, up and bump the sky!”—pure joy. Seeing Orange County from above lends itself to an entirely new perspective. The rolling green hills, dramatic coastal cliffs, and the teals, blues, and aquamarines of the Pacific stretching along the shoreline were absolutely stunning. From Newport Harbor and Balboa Island to Laguna Beach and Dana Point, every moment felt special. Joy Air made the experience feel personal, warm, and celebratory. I can’t imagine a better way to mark a milestone or simply reconnect with the beauty of our coast. Highly recommend—10/10.
There is no better way to experience the Newport, Laguna Beach area than this tour!! Our pilot Bruce was a true professional in every way. He shared his deep knowledge of the area, history, geography and so much more. He even spotted a pod of no less than 300 dolphin and circled around them giving us an amazing view. It was a truly an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend.
Wesley facilitated an amazing flight experience for us! I was a little nervous to fly in such a small plane, but Wesley was calm and reassuring the entire flight. It was so neat to see all of Orange County from the air. Truly magnificent. Love Joy Air! I would go again in a heartbeat!

Took my fiancé on a private air tour, she was my girlfriend at the time but i asked her to marry me mid flight over the ocean, over looking the coast line. It was perfect. We saw dolphins swimming in the ocean, Crystal clear lagoons, and beautiful beaches. Our tour guide and pilot Wesley was super cool and very knowledgeable of the whole area we flew over. Ended up with some amazing videos/pictures and memories for me and my new fiancée to share. 10 out 10 would recommend and would absolutely do it again
