Private | Cambridge University Colleges Guided Punting Tour

Description
A punt along the River Cam is one of the most relaxing ways to enjoy the atmosphere of Cambridge. This 45-minute guided tour begins at the boathouse and takes you gently along the river, offering views of the city's most picturesque sights. You’ll pass the paddocks of Trinity, the iconic bridges of Cambridge, and the famous King’s College Chapel facing the river. With peaceful surroundings, historic views, and the option to sip and relax, this experience captures the charm of one of the most famous waterways in the world.

Itinerary
As you begin your tour, admire the peaceful islands of Darwin College in the background of the pond – one of Cambridge’s newer colleges, yet full of character.
Slide in front of the historic pub where Pink Floyd is said to have first started playing music. Then gently move under the first bridge of our tour, with the river guiding the way.
Sit back and appreciate your excellent view of the bridge that somehow manages to get a graceful arch from a series of straight timbers!
Admire the stunning Gothic architecture of one of the most famous colleges in the University of Cambridge.
Listen to your guide describe the second-oldest surviving college of the University, which was one of the first to accept women as undergraduate students.
Admire the modern library of Trinity Hall, set within one of the oldest colleges in Cambridge. One of the best views in town, right over the river—where old tradition meets quiet modern charm.
Learn about the history of the college where Stephen Hawking completed his PhD, all while relaxing as your chauffeur punts you expertly along the river.
Relate to Queen Victoria as you look upon the bridge that was said to be one of her favourite spots in the city!
Complete your tour of the College Backs with Magdalene, known as one of the most traditional of the colleges. Make the most of these last few minutes to ask your knowledgeable guide any final questions to satisfy your curiosity! After this final stop, the boat will return to the station you started from.

Our guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining. This is a must experience when you visit Cambridge.
It was very nice to do the tour in Spanish, very interesting the tour of the schools and the city. Highly recommended José Rogelio and the company. If you visit the city do not miss it.
José Rogelio gave us a very complete private tour in Spanish of the schools and the city, I highly recommend it, very organized company, excellent quality and price, worth every penny.
Absolutely horrendous and terrible organization. The meeting point that was sent to me was incorrect. We arrived at the meeting .1 hour early so that we wouldn’t mess anything up and were informed by the company at that meeting point that our vouchers had nothing to do with them. They then sent us to another company who sent us to another company who sent us to another company and so on we walked around for more than one hour trying to find the correct meeting point Without any success. During this time I telephoned the helpline on the number provided numerous times and was told that someone will call me back. After four attempts still no one called me back and so we completely missed the trip which was devastating for my kids. Eventually at 6 o’clock after numerous calls again, I managed to talk to someone at the so-called customer service hotline who was extremely rude and condescending and in a 20 minute conversation did not allow me to speak. She started off by telling me off for calling so late at night when my trip was booked for 2 PM and then informed me that she was too busy to call me back that day and that I Looney travels was not responsible anyway because I had booked the tour With a third-party on the Internet and therefore it was my fault. I had to wait very patiently for 20 minutes while she rented on about how busy she was that day and everything was my fault before she hung up without allowing me to say anything I have since written a couple of times asking for a refund but have not received any response from, the organizer

Talked to Max at Oxford station and booked a punting tour for 1:30 pm. The tour itself with Neil on the punt was excellent, he was informative and great to talk to. It was really lovely to glide on the river and see things from another angle. However, I made a small mistake and put in my non-traveller email address. The confirmation email went to that address and then I couldn't access it, (Google thought I was a hacker as I wasn't at my normal IP). Long story short, we had a problem going on the punting tour, as I had no confirmation email, (but had payment receipt). Neil at the boat hire, then made a phone call and honored the booking. Maybe they need to have a back-up system for those of us who have IT issues. It can't just be me!

Too few facts and the pace too slow with a student guide. Would have been better with a mature alum.
