Your tour will begin in the heart of the city of Burges, the Markt, a large square where tourists mingle with locals. Here, you can admire the imposing Belfry tower, the top of which can reward you with a panoramic view of the city. Architecture lovers will be astonished by the buildings in Brug Square. The Basilica of the Holy Blood, the City Hall, the Oude Griffie and the Palace of Justice are all of a unique style. The main attraction of Bruges is the Lake of Love. The medieval commercial center where festivals, fairs, tournaments, uprisings, and executions took place. Today the square is occupied by restaurants and cafes located in guild houses.
Double church, dedicated to Our Lady and Saint Basil in the 12th century, and a basilica since 1923, it consists of a lower church that has maintained its Romanesque character and a neo-Gothic upper church, in which the relic of the Holy Blood is preserved.
Small cobbled square featuring sculptures of Zeus, Leda, Prometheus, and Pegasus. There is a wide range of cafes under the trees where visitors can relax.
Sint-Salvatorskathedraal or Saint Saviour's Cathedral, one of Bruge's oldest churches features medieval tombs, tapestries and a rich collection of Flemish paintings.
Church of Our Lady. Dating back to the 13th century, this Catholic church features the tallest structure in the city, a brick tower at 115 meters in height.
The tranquil park surrounded by Minnerwater of the Lake of Love is a great place to see the wildlife of Bruges, in particular, the swans which are the city’s emblem.
The place where the Groenerei and Dijver canals meet and the starting point of many boat trips. There are beautiful houses, shops, wooden docks, and a bridge, all perfectly maintained despite their age.

THIS IS A VERY BIG MISTAKE. IT IS THE MOST EXPENSIVE TAXI RIDE I HAVE EVER DONE. I did not read the reviews and details. DO NOT BOOK THIS. We were picked up at 6 am, driven to Bruge, unceremoniously dropped in the Centrum ( Center) at 7 am where EVERYTHING IS CLOSED. We walked 30 minutes to the train station where we were able to get breakfast. And then, we were told we need to head back at 12:30 pm.

Our driver and tour guide were excellent and the history was so incredible and the story telling plus discussing current culture were just some of highlights
WE had a very nice driver Francesco that was timely and accommodated our needs...He was also very friendly but READ THE FINE PRINT THIS IS NOT A TOUR ONLY A RIDE TO THE CITY AND BACK...he did not provide any historical information nor did he walk with us to the sites This is what is stated in VIATOR "Our drivers are not official tour guides but are very knowledgeable of the places visited and will provide all the necessary historical information and their local perspective. At the end of the tour, your friendly Welcomer will drop you off at your accommodation." So that was disappointing because it was not very cost efficient, a small group tour might have been better.
