A real highlight of our trip to Alaska! Would do it again in a heartbeat! The ride from Anchorage to Whittier is beautiful and our driver had pertinent information about sites, including the 2 mile tunnel. But the glaciers are the thing! Pilot and guides on the boat were helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The scenery was unbeatable and they made the most of it. The boat was a perfect size to get close and be able to float in place for 10 to 15 minutes to just enjoy the grandeur of the area. On board lunch was good and we were seated with exceptionally friendly and interesting people. Upon returning to the dock, we had enough time in Whittier to do a little bit of shopping before boarding Alaska railroad to return to Anchorage.
Wonderful experience! The staff were attentive and really respectful! Answered all questions and were extremely helpful throughout the trip. Really enjoyed the facts given by the captain and crew. I would recommend this activity to anyone coming to this area! Highlight of my trip!
Thank you so much for your recommendation and joining on the 26 Glacier Cruise!
In my opinion, this was the best experience: visiting Prince William Sound and seeing glaciers. The price was a little high, but you were on a 6-hour cruise, and they provided lunch. It was well worth the price. They took you up close to the icebergs, and they scooped one out and broke it into pieces for everyone to drink with fresh glacier ice cubes. The atmosphere was amazing, and they guaranteed you would not experience sea sickness. Great for families.
Your review means a lot to us. As a family-owned business we want to make sure that guests of all ages are able to enjoy the experience and we appreciate you taking the time to share yours!
This was a great experience. The tunnel was unexpected and fascinating. So much to see. The only extra advise I would give…. The weather is unexpected, so dress warmer than you think. Bring snacks, and binoculars!
Alaskans sometimes describe it as dressing like an onion. Lots of layers! Thank you so much for your review, advice on how best to experience our glacier cruise, and for choosing Phillips Cruises & Tours.
This was a great excursion. It was warm inside of the cabin, even though it was cold outside and rainy. We were able to go out at certain points and get a better view and better photographs. The captain and the crew were wonderful. This is a must do tour.
Your review and recommendation mean a lot to all of us here at Phillips Cruises & Tours. Thank you, Susan, for letting us be a part of your Alaska adventure!
I had high expectations for this experience, but it was even better than I expected. I took the coach round trip from Anchorage and the 5-hour cruise. Our assigned seats on MV Bravest had a great view, so my daughter opted to spend most of the day there (and got great pictures!). I went out on deck often, and I loved the view and the fresh air. The hot meal (ours were vegetarian) and the coffee / tea service kept us very comfortable. The bathrooms were sparkling clean, the captain and crew informative, and the wildlife and glaciers very cooperative. :) Highly recommend!
A guest's recommendation is the highest compliment we can receive. Thank you for your review and feedback. We are so happy to hear your daughter was able to capture some great photos and the fresh air of Prince William Sound truly is something to experience. Thank you!
This was an amazing excursion. We were in Anchorage for my son's graduation, but wanted the "cruise experience". We were not disappointed. My sons felt it was the highlight of our visit. Even though it was rainy and cold. The salmon chowder at lunch was excellent.
We are honored to have been included in your family's graduation celebration and visit. Thank you for letting us be your guide to Prince William Sound.
A very fun and informative tour. The captain was able to get us within a quarter mile of the Harvard glacier. The crew was so nice and also fun
One of the best parts of our jobs is getting to have a front row seat to our guests experiencing Prince William Sound and getting to be face-to-face with the glaciers that call it home. We appreciate you taking the time to provide us with your feedback and hope to see you again in Whittier.
Bring a raincoat! It poured the entire trip and was very cold. Still, the trip was great! Our captain gave informative commentary the entire trip. We saw goats, otters, and even a black bear, awa many birds. The glaciers themselves were incredible
Alaska is truly an adventure and that includes the weather. Thank you for trusting us to safely explore Prince Williams Sound even during the rainy days. Your review means a lot to us.
Efficient and informative trip to Whittier. Once on board, nice lunch and the glaciers were beautiful. Staff was courteous and knowledgeable.
We’re so pleased to hear you enjoyed your journey to Whittier and had a memorable experience exploring the beauty of Prince William Sound. Thank you for letting us to be your guide!
