The most important Portuguese religious center and one of the most famous places of catholic pilgrimage in the world. Its worldwide prominence is due to the phenomenon of the apparitions of the Virgin Mary reported by three little shepherds.
Observe the inspiring devotion of many pilgrims from around the world and feel a special magic, peace and serenity as you arrive at the Shrine of Fatima, a Marian shrine dedicated to Our Lady of Fatima. In the statue of the Virgin Mary you can see the bullet that struck Pope John Paul II during the assassination attempt.
The notorious university town. Coimbra keeps alive a set of student traditions and symbolic practices: look around and observe the emblematic uniforms of the students. The long black capes perfectly embrace the prestigious tradition of this noble city.

Francisco Quico was spectacular—very professional. He shared his knowledge with us throughout the bus journey. In Coimbra, he provided us fascinating information about the university and the city’s rich history. We had free time. Fátima was a mystical and wonderful experience. We walked around and had free time at the Sanctuary to attend Mass and explore all areas of the shrine. Afterwards, we visited the children’s village, their homes, and the site where the Angel appeared. There are no words to fully describe such an impressive experience. It was a day to remember forever. Thank you! 100% recommended

We didn’t really enjoy this tour, barely any time to explore Coimbra, more free time in Fátima but no info given as to where to go or what to do with the time other than pointing out one good restaurant and one souvenir shop we could get a discount using the guides name. As a result we cancelled our next booked tour to Braga and took the bus there ourselves.

I believe we needed more explanation; for what I paid, I expected more history. I would not recommend it with you; I saw other agencies that seemed to offer better service.
Fatima was more than expected. From the little village where the 3 young shepherds lived to the shrine that resembles the Vatican.

Unfortunately, this day trip started badly. We had to wait over 2 hours for our driver/guide. Tripadvisor had booked with Cityrama. The booking said to arrive 15 minutes before departure which meant 7:15 am, so we were there ahead of that time. The meeting location had been changed without informing us in any way. As we waited it began to rain (of course, no one's fault) and the organizers who waited the 2+ hours with us made no suggestions to help us. One of them had an umbrella, which he eventually shared but the company office was not far away - someone could have gotten umbrellas for those of us waiting. They were not aware of when the driver would arrive, so we waited. Once they did have an approximate time, we were able to go and get some coffee/breakfast. We rushed to get back for the time, and again we waited. The tour was then different than expected. It was advertised that we could purchase tickets to enter the university library, but we were told once we arrived in Coimbra that that was impossible. The day was also shifted to less time in Coimbra and much more time than advertised at Fatima, which was not our main goal for the tour. Of course, we were given the option to change our tour to another day (which we couldn't do) or change to a different tour (which we didn't want) or a refund. We decided to wait for the driver and take the tour. Had we known how the itinerary would be changed, we would have made a different decision.

I went on a day trip to Fatima and Coimbra with Rafael and Tiago. Our guide, Rafael, told us in detail about the important sights along the way, while Tiago drove safely to the destinations and back. It was a truly interesting day. I highly recommend this program. I hope you enjoy it too!
