It was good but you have to be the first to get the beds to last the day
Spend a day with family exploring all the filming houses, with their authentic decorations. Enjoy several game rooms and savor free popcorn in the vintage movie theater. You can also swim in an incredible setting! The pools, mini-golf, and children's course will be available at the exit. The actors stayed in character throughout the day, never breaking from their roles!
It was a lovely visit, something to see if you ever watched Popeye. Nice to walk around as it’s not a massive set, easy to see everything. They had entertainment and they give you free popcorn and you can get free postcards as a gift.
Worth a visit! Great and well-kept location, the setting looks like the shooting is just finished.
Was amazing definitely would recommend to go!
Even if you are not a fan, Popeye village is worth a trip, To get there use public transport to Melliefia, from there you can walk approx 15 to 20 minute walk, your bus driver would explain how to get there. It was off season so no swimming and the sea looked a little rough. The village is for all ages you admission includes vouchers for popcorn in the cinema and a post card from the post office. The cinema shows a short film on the making of Popeye. You will also come across street performers, you might even got asked to take part in a film scene. It is a steep walk down and out of the village, there is plenty on offer to keep you going, walking around a real film set. On leaving you play around of mini golf and a small assault course. Give yourself a couple of hours to visit
Absolutely brilliant! The staff here work so hard, they’re very entertaining, doing shows and getting the public involved. They’re always happy to have photos with you. The place is beautiful, so much to see and very reasonable priced. We spent around 4 hours here. Food and drink is very good value. My only gripe was the Robin Williams shrine was not open. Great day otherwise
Though it’s off peak and can’t access the swimming, it was a good experience. Especially if you love Popeye. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Loads of photos to take.
It was a bad day that day cause it is raining all day long. Freezing but the staff still greet us warmly. Nice to explore.
We visited Popeye Village in Malta and the experience was just perfect, from start to finish. The booking of tickets online was very easy, and at the entrance we had access via priority line, so everything was very fast and well organized. The village itself is beautiful, well-kept and really scenic: it seems to be catapulted into the film. We went in November and still managed to swim: of course, it is not the height of summer, but the climate was still more than enough to enjoy the bay and relax. Highly recommended to do absolutely: with children it is a dream, there is so much to do and see, but also for adults it remains a very pleasant place to explore. You can easily schedule a 2-3 hour visit and it is perfect as a stopover, perhaps combining it immediately after the nearby Blue Lagoon. In summary: impeccable organization, spectacular location and unforgettable day. Don't miss it!
