Not a fan of pop eye as a child but a big fan of Robin Williams # visited 2 weeks ago with my wife and travelled from St pauls bay on local buses# admission good price and lots of information about the village # refreshments at good prices and lots of entertainment with various featured characters # very interesting looking at the various houses and great scenic views
We spent a very pleasant day here. The setting is very characteristic, and it is pleasant to visit; the small lagoon is equipped with sunbeds and shaded areas, many inflatables available for free, and common spaces to relax. Excellent
We did our filming activity at 21st of june at 11:25 and it was truly amazing and we got the tickets but hotel cleaner took it from our room so we have no way of reaching out to get the film that we payed for.. is there any chance you guys would be able to send the film to my email: vasilijesk@gmail.com Its under the name Vasilije Skender. Overall experiance was truly memorable.
Simple and perfect for both adults and children
I loved the beautiful location with the blue/turquoise water where anyone can have lots of fun starting with multiple choice of water activities, swimming, sunbathing under wooden tents. The whole day scheduled activities in Popeye Village keep entertaining. It was really fun to watch the " scenes shooting" when guests reenacted the scenes from the movie. We spent 3 hours there, but if you have kids you can spend the whole day there also exploring the village houses, participate in the Village activities, and watch a movie how the village was built and movie created. Very interesting. There is food and drinks, so you will not be hungry. We took Bolt from and to Sliema that was more convenient for us than take 2 buses.
A true gem, absolutely worth visiting, very characteristic and unique, it includes many attractions for children, but also for adults.
We had such a great time at Popeye village. The actors were brilliant and the set was amazing. loved the water activities. We took part in the Take 2 filming experience. it was great fun!!! We watched the movie back in the cimena and for 5 euro you could have a copy sent to your email as a keepsake. The director who made the film was amazing and we all had such a great time filming. Would definitely recommend a trip here. Totally loved it!!!
Although it’s on the other-side of the island to Valletta and St Julian’s (the main hub of activity) the Uber we took was inexpensive to get there. We paid £21 per person and it’s well worth it! GetYourGuide and we got free popcorn and a postcard each included in our ticket price. Walking in through the entrance and seeing the view of the village was mesmerising. It’s so impressive to think this set was built for a film back in 1979/1980 and has been preserved for all these years. There’s also free sun beds (free of charge) for you to relax on and enjoy the sunshine. The sea is also accessible which you can cool off in and there’s a restaurant serving food and drink. You could easily spend all day and if you have children they’d love it! The actors put on performances throughout the day and get involved with the crowd. The only downside, it’s not wheelchair accessible as it’s very hilly and has a lot of steps. Overall, the most perfect afternoon spent here. Would recommend to anyone visiting Malta!
Had a fantastic time wished we went earlier cause we stayed till it closed lots to do the kids enjoyed so much.me and my son we participated in a short film and you can get a copy for a small fee 5 Euros
If someone is in a wheelchair dont go you will only be able to see the main street. There's alot of stairs around this place. So if disabled and not good on the stairs save your money and go else where.
