Tour guide Frankie was very knowledgeable and made the tour very interesting and pitched it well for our children too.
What a great tour. Frankie was fabulous. Lots of information and brought Pompeii to life. Highly recommend.

While we only booked a 2 hour tour, we felt like we could’ve seen more of Pompeii if we didn’t spend so much time standing in one spot learning about the history. We liked the history, but it just felt like we didn’t see as much as we could’ve. The tour guide could’ve cut down a lot of “fluff”. With the short tour, we just wanted to see as much as possible

I loved this!! Pompei is so cool. And Angelo was a very knowledgeable and friendly guide. Any question we asked he could answer, and he often also had an interesting deeper story to add. The group was small enough to be personal. Also great seevice from the Pompei team, they are very responsive and helpful.

Travelers Beware! My wife and I booked this tour through Viator about a month before our 30th anniversary trip to Italy. Following the recommendation to "book everything early," we also purchased our train tickets in advance. Unfortunately, when we arrived at the train station in Florence, train service was disrupted, making it impossible for us to reach Naples in time for our scheduled tour. We contacted Viator, and while they did reach out to the tour provider, they were unable to secure either a refund or a rescheduled date. Out of desperation, we contacted the provider directly. The person who answered refused to offer an alternative date, time, or refund and became increasingly rude during the conversation, eventually talking over us and raising his voice. What was already a stressful travel situation turned into an even more unpleasant experience. Before booking, we carefully read reviews, which were overwhelmingly positive and played a major role in our decision. Of course, there was no way for us to anticipate a train disruption on the day of our tour. While the transportation issue itself was beyond the provider's control, we were disappointed by the complete lack of flexibility and the manner in which we were treated when seeking assistance. Afterward, I reviewed Viator's terms and conditions more closely and discovered that they do not guarantee refunds or compensation in situations such as these. Throughout Viator's website, there are reassuring messages that suggest booking with them is worry-free, but the fine print tells a different story. In the end, we lost several hours dealing with the train disruption and the full cost of the tour, leaving a disappointing memory during what was supposed to be a special 30th anniversary trip. If you plan to use Viator, I strongly encourage you to read all policies and cancellation terms carefully before booking. Unexpected travel disruptions do happen, and understanding exactly what protections are—and are not—provided may help you make a more informed decision. Unless you can predict the future, there are many companies offering similar tours, and travelers may wish to try a different touring company before committing their hard-earned vacation budget with a company that is wholly unconcerned with their vacation experience and unsympathetic to travel disruptions that are outside of their control.
worst customer ever It's the first time someone calls us and threatens us with a bad review. It's disgusting. We're not to blame for the trains, the tour and tickets have already been purchased. You can’t cancel a tour 3 hour before We offered to reschedule but you didn't accept
James did a wonderful job navigating our group through the city and explaining many details about the city and it’s inhabitants. So informative!

This was excellent and so easy. Angelo was a fantastic tour guide. We had heard that we would get more out of the Pompeii experience with a guide, and it was true.

We enjoyed our tour with Frankie. He is great at storytelling and keeps the group engaged. This is one of the best tours we had during our two week trip in Italy. Definitely recommend.
