Sal was great. We were 22 minutes late (terrible I know) and he would have been justifiably frustrated but he was totally nonchalant. I don't think we're the first visitors to miss several exits on the highway. This was a truly private tour. Just Sal and my family. We are an inquisitive family who (I've been told) is more engaged than most. Sal met that energy and knew the answers to everything we threw at him. Would guests understand the symbolism behind the frescos on the sex wall? Are there several layers of mosaic tile on the floor because the owner got bored and wanted to remodel? AI can answer some of these questions, but it can't be engaging yet. Sal was able to pivot based on what he saw our interests were. Just a fantastic day and wonderful to start our trip in Italy.
Roberto was an amazing guide. Very informative tour with a good dose of humor. Great way to see Pompeii!
Great experience and value for the money! Andrew was amazing!
Amazing tour guide. Highly recommend
Mariagrazia was an outstanding guide! She was friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly considerate throughout our tour. What really stood out was how she helped us imagine what Pompeii was actually like before the eruption in 79 AD, bringing the city and its people to life. Her storytelling made the ruins feel much more meaningful than simply walking through ancient streets. We learned so much and would highly recommend touring Pompeii with Mariagrazia!
Mariagrazia was awesome. She answered all our questions and showed us many different things like the forum, houses, bath house etc. She paced the tour perfectly. I highly recommend.
Fantastic guide, provided lots of interesting detail about the sites and covered a large portion of the area
Highly recommended. We had the pleasure to be guided by Salvatore. Everything was smooth and handled professionally by the guide.
We took a group of baseball players and their families from the USA. 46 people in all. Eliana and the entire staff were wonderful to work with. Knowledgeable staff and very informative. I highly recommend.
Eliana is a wonderful person and she has deep knowledge of Pompeii and archaeology in general. Her understanding of the cultural traditions of Pompeii added a tremendous amount to our experience visiting there. I was telling a friend when I returned from my trip about our tour with Eliana to Pompeii and most of what I was able to pass on had not been part of the group tour that she had taken on her previous visit to Pompeii. Her comment, “That info wasn’t shared on our tour.” Having scholarly knowledge available as you walk through the streets of Pompeii changes the experience dramatically.
