Itinerary
Porta Marina Superiore: the guide will be waiting for you outside the archaeological park with the sign “Pompeii Vip”. It forms the western entrance to the city and the name "Marina" comes from the fact that the outgoing road led to the sea.
Temple of Venus: temple dedicated to Venus, patron goddess of Pompeii
Basilica: was the most lavish building in the Forum, and served as a space for the management of business and the administration of justice
The Sanctuary of Apollo: it is among the oldest of Pompeii's places of worship, built at a strategic point along the street that led up from Porta Marina to the public heart of the city
Forum - Main Square: it represents the center of the city's daily life
The Temple of Jupiter: it dominates the northern side of the Forum, and behind it rises scenically Vesuvius
Macellum: it was a monumental building used for the sale of food and daily consumer products. Here is possible to see some Plaster Casts - BODIES (the archaeological method to find the ancient bodies as they were at the moment of the eruption)
Forum Baths: they are one of the best-preserved elements of the city. Female and male parts had separate entrances.
Thermopolium: it was an old diner, a place of refreshment for the inhabitants
House of the Faun: This is one of the largest houses in Pompeii; the sidewalk bears the welcome inscription (HAVE) in Latin; House of the Vettii:The house, among the richest and most famous in Pompeii, is placed under the protection of Priapus god of prosperity, Both are subject to seasonal openings and closings
Via Dell'Abbondanza: it was the ancient main street (decumanus maximus) of ancient Pompeii
Theater: Comedies and tragedies in the Greco-Roman tradition were performed in the theater

Very knowledgeable guide and interesting visit, but they need to state on the website where they sell the experience that the entrance tickets to Pompeii are not included. To my great surprise, the guide Renato informed me that I paid 25 euros per person just for the guide, and to enter Pompeii, I had to pay the entrance fee. A real scam! Do not buy the experience offered by this site!
We joined the 9am tour which has much less people and less hot and with the Campania card we queued up 10 mins earlier and redeem the entrance tickets at 9am. Riccardo is our knowledgable Archaeologist who shared lots of interesting stories, history, design and daily lives of the people lived in Pompeii. 2 hours we managed visited some of the highlights especially the Spa and enjoyed the tour a lot!
Our tour guide Igor was absolutely amazing. He was knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and passionate about the history of Pompeii. Our guide RAFFAELE was amazing!! He was extremely kind as we had difficulties finding the group at the meeting spot he waited for us and was easygoing about the situation as we felt very stressed for being late he assured us not to worry. He was very knowledgeable about Pompeii and included a few small bits of humour which kept it light and interesting. He also tried to get us in as much shade as possible as the day was very hot. Tour organized for months It was canceled due to issues, and I was informed the day before with a notice that I would not receive a refund unless I contacted the manager. Serious manager because the refund was issued immediately, but it was a huge inconvenience. Fortunately, as soon as we arrived, we found a tour with a top-notch guide.
Gentile cliente, la review non è per una nostra experience o tour come lei stesso cita, in quanto ha avuto problemi con il pagamento tramite Viator (Viator carica i pagamenti il girono prima, se lei ha usato una carta prepagata senza fondi, il tour viene annullato da parte loro, non da noi!). Abbiamo provato anche a contattare Viator per far rimuovere la review, purtroppo le linee guide dalla piattaforma non lo consentono.
