A great full day excursion of the ancient archaeological site of Pompeii and suggestive Naples, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites. travel aboard a comfortable air-conditioned minivan with a maximum of 6/7 people and an assistant for the entire trip. Before arriving in Pompeii, one break along the freeway for a mid-morning breakfast or snack. First stop will be at the Pompeii archeological site where your professional guide it will show the highlights of this intact ancient Roman city. You will visit the main areas of Pompeii, like the Macellum (food market), the Thermal Baths, the areas where the Romans would gather to have dinner and wine as well as the homes of wealthy citizens, where you will learn about their customs and traditions. Lunch in a typical Neapolitan pizza restaurant and then visit of the wonderful Bay of Naples, where you can admire the beautiful gulf, backdrop to one of the most beautiful images to be seen. Taste a good typical Neapolitan coffee and then back to Rome.

Pompeii a "Unesco" heritage site is the first stop of the tour, here you will meet your local guide for the visit of the excavations. Hear from your guide the history and stories of what happened during the famous eruption of Vesuvius on August 24, 79 AD. It caused the destruction of the city of Pompeii and a vast area of the current Vesuvian area, such as the cities of Herculaneum. Your guide also, will help you discover some aspects of daily life in the Roman imperial era. Walking along the ancient streets, you will visit the most evocative places of the ancient city, such as the Forum, the Baths, La Casa dei Vetti, with its beautiful frescoes, and you will be able to admire the houses, shops and public buildings brought to light by the work of archaeologists.
Enjoy a unique experience, a tasting of Neapolitan Pizza and typical products that grow at the foot of Vesuvius, immerse yourself in the Neapolitan atmosphere by visiting the most characteristic places that have made Naples famous.
Naples: A Journey Through the Bay and Its Soul Walking the Historic Streets, venture into the heart of Naples. The historic center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, reveals layers of civilization. From Greek Neapolis to the bustling city today, every cobblestone whispers tales of empires, art, and resilience. The visit includes: Piazza Augusteo, Piazza del Pebliscito, Maschio Angioino Castle (exterior), Galleria Umberto I, Quartieri Spagnoli, Via Toledo (where the alley of love is located), tasting of Neapolitan coffee and fried pizza. Upon request (optional) it is possible to visit the Cathedral where there are the relics of San Gennaro. Customs and Traditions: Naples celebrates festivals with fervor, the processions wind through narrow alleys, carrying saints' statues. The city pauses for San Gennaro, its patron saint.

This was a wonderful tour to Pompeii and Naples from Rome. The drivers (we needed 2 vans due to the number of people in our group) met us at our apartment right on time and were amazing! Antoinette was an exceptional guide full of great information, very animated and just a lovely person. We stopped for a quick breakfast on the way, which was very needed since we left at 6:45 am. We also have a great guide in Pompeii who gave us a wonderful 2 hour tour. After the ruins, we went for lunch and wine tasting at a local winery (amazing!) and spent the afternoon in Naples. Seriously a great way to spent a day!! Highly recommend!

This was, by far, the most incredible tour! Our tour guides Nariman and Sam were absolutely outstanding! They were so kind, welcoming, professional and knowledgeable. Our family is a group of 8 and we are traveling with 3 young children and they were with us every step of the way! From providing perfect condition car seats, beautiful transportation with wonderful drivers Pino and Massimiliano, to escorting us through every step of the tour, guaranteeing our safety and satisfaction, they truly are working in the perfect field. They are SO knowledgeable about all things Italy, it’s truly incredible! This tour is worth every single penny. Nariman was an excellent and knowledgeable tour guide. Adam was on time picking us up and was very friendly and a great driver. They took us to the Pompeii ruins where Paulo showed us so much. Then a beautiful winery Cantina del Vesuvio where we sampled delicious wine and food😋 Next we saw beautiful Naples with lots of shops, history and food. It was a fabulous day!

This is a great day trip from Rome! If you love history, Pompeii should definitely be on your list. There will be a separate guide at the archeological site to walk you around for about 1.5 hours. It is amazing how much of it has been preserved. Then you will stop for lunch at a really beautiful winery. The food is amazing, and the views of Mount Vesuvius and the Bay of Naples are stunning. Next is Naples - be prepared for a very chaotic city. Wish the guide gave us a little more information on the city history, etc. The last scenic stop of the bay was great for photos! Overall, it was a great tour, and since it was a small group (ours was only 5 people), they gave a little more flexibility on what to do in Naples, plus coffee and pit stops both ways.

The tour was very good, they passed us very punctual, Luigi the very nice driver, they gave options to go for something for breakfast. The guide to Pompeii very nice Emanuela explained excellent history and what happened in the City of Pompeii. They took us to a tasting and food in Cantina del Vesuvio and it was excellent. And Nicholas was also very detailed and nice in Naples. I would definitely return to make one more experience with Welcome Italy agency ❤️🇮🇹🫶🏻

We took an amazing day tour to Pompeii and Naples with guide Antoinette and driver Pedro.
