Itinerary
Visit the ruins of ancient Pompeii, buried by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 A.D. and preserved almost intact for centuries. Stop along the way to a local factory to learn more about the process of Cameos and Corals craft, jewels made out of corals and seashells (if time permits).
In the afternoon, after Pompeii visit and free time for lunch, return to naples and orientation tour of Naples: a drive along the seaside for a view of the whole bay from Posillipo; a stroll through the opulent monumental district enclosing Plebiscito square, Royal Palace and San Carlo Theater; a walk along Spaccanapoli, the oldest urban settlement of Greek origins

The your my wife and I took to Pompei & Napoli was wonderful. Our guide in Pompei told us the history of the city and its people, showing us the remnants of the city as we walked through history. Chris, our host and guide for the walking tour of Napoli was both knowledgeable of the cities history and considerate of our age and limitations during the walk. He brought to life the city with the story of the old town as we passed important buildings, statues, and ruins of the original Greek settlement. Our drive, Rino, dealt with the traffic with ease and stopped at great locations for photos of the city and bay. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Naples.

We had the best day. First stop was Pompeii and our guide was very knowledgeable and I would go back in a heartbeat. We then went back to Naples and did a city walking tour with Martina and she was wonderful. I think it was one of my favorite days of my trip
We chose this tour to hope to see Pompeii and learn about the city of Naples, and I can assure you that we were not disappointed. We were lucky enough to have our tour guide be Alex, and he was more than exceptional. He was able to teach and show us about all of the history and every little tradition and detail of Naples. He was super kind, respectful, and always seemed to know what he was doing. He was also really interactive with my 13 year old son, and left us all with a really satisfying feeling about Naples. We got everything we wanted from his knowledge and was definitely one of the best parts of our trip to Italy.
What an amazing day! We started with a group that all went on a guided tour to Pompeii and it was so much more incredible than we could have ever imagined! What we were expecting was small area of ruins and the casts of those who perished. This was so much more, and such an incredible time capsule of what this city once was with so much more preserved than what we thought there would be. It was truly a wonderful tour. Our guide was great, and she was able to give us a lot interesting details about certain rooms we were in, the ways of life of those who held different roles there, and how incredibly smart the people of Pompeii were. After the tour, our group separated into different tours, and ours continued down to the Amalfi coast. We had Aldo as our driver and guide and he pulled out all the stops for us. We had a great time driving along the coast, hearing his extra insights, pulling over for photos, taking our photos for us, stopping at a limoncello factory, and even made a suggestion for us to have a nice lunch. He was incredibly friendly and we really enjoyed our trip with him. When we were in Amalfi we had some free time to roam and check out the little shops and of course get some gelato. It was a brief visit to the coast, but a beautiful day by the coast and some incredible view points on your way there and back. Definitely a memorable experience!
This excursion was amazing! We started by being picked up at port from our ship. A couple other groups were picked up at different places, but we got going in good time. We all went to Pompeii and had a FABULOUS tour. If going during summer, take LOTS of water, as it is a long tour and no shade. We then went back to Naples with one other couple and free time to get some Pizza. Know that the restaurants charge a $10 cover fee (per table) off the top. It was worth it though. We were then picked up and give an AMAZING tour via van through Naples. I'm bad with names, so don't have my driver's and guide's names, but they are in one of our pictures. They are both from Naples so knew the places to get the BEST pictures. Every stop was better than the one before. Their love of Naples was evident. We were sad when it came to an end. This was one of our favorite stops on our Mediterranean cruise!!
