Good Info But Not A Fluid Experience

While the information was good, the app was a bit tricky. Every time you stop to take a picture you get kicked out of the app and have to go back in and find your location. That gets annoying after the first 3 or 4 times. I did like the story feature where you could just read about where you are.

Operator response

Lauri, thank you for sharing your feedback on my Plymouth Pilgrims GPS Walking Audio Tour. I’m glad you found the information helpful and appreciated the story feature for reading more about each location. I’m sorry the app felt tricky when stopping for photos. Did the app fully close each time you opened your camera, or did it just lose your location when you returned? I’d also like to know which phone you were using so I can better understand what happened and pass the details along to my team. Please feel free to reach out — I’m available daily from 9 AM–6 PM EST and happy to help.

Visit Plymouth and Discover It's History

This was our first time to the Cape Cod area. With this year being our 250 anniversary, we knew we had to visit Plymouth. This self-guided tour was amazing. We started at the visitors center and were able to find every item on the list. The GPS guided part was great but the information that the narrator gives is wonderful.

Operator response

I’m so glad to hear you enjoyed my Plymouth Pilgrims GPS Walking Audio Tour. Visiting Plymouth during such an important anniversary year makes the experience even more meaningful, and I’m happy the tour helped you discover the history of the area so easily. It’s wonderful to know you were able to find each stop and enjoyed the narration throughout the tour. Eye Opening View of Our History

This is not like so many tours. It was wonderful to have a digital map that actually told you where to go, began telling you about what was coming up ahead and then giving the history of what you were seeing. The information about how the "Pilgrims" and native americans came to interact was fascinating. To climb aboard the Mayflower 2 was incredible. To think that 108 passengers made the trip on this small boat in such cramped quarters was eye opening. The entire journey was easy, informative and well worth the time.

Operator response

Roger, I’m so glad to hear you enjoyed my Plymouth Pilgrims GPS Walking Audio Tour. It’s wonderful to know the digital map and GPS-guided narration helped make the experience easy to follow and immersive throughout your visit. I’m especially happy you found the history surrounding the Pilgrims and Native Americans fascinating, and that visiting the Mayflower II was such an eye-opening experience for you. If you’re ready for more adventures, check out my Massachusetts Self-Guided Driving and Walking Tours Bundle, which includes tours like the Boston Freedom Trail, Salem Witch Trials, and Cape Cod. Best ever, buy now and enjoy!

Great walking tour! So much information and LOVED the ‘Learn More’ links included at the stops. In fact when we went to other areas on our trip we searched for walking tours by your company. Unfortunately there was not one available so did a different one and it was not nearly as good.

Audio Tour Confusing

The audio tour was somewhat confusing to follow. I’d pause it and it would start as soon as you moved. The voice in my ear made it difficult to communicate with others. Otherwise it provided helpful and interesting information. Although you could read most of the same information at the site.

Operator response

Helen, I’m sorry to hear about your experience with my Plymouth audio tour. Once you start the tour at the starting point, it should automatically begin, and if you pause it, the tour should pause as well. This is usually how it works, so it seems like something went wrong. For a better experience, I recommend using earphones, which will allow you to remove them easily and communicate with others when needed. I’m glad to hear that the tour still provided helpful and interesting information. My tours are carefully crafted in collaboration with local guides to ensure you receive all the key details. If you need any assistance or have questions about the tour, please don't hesitate to reach out—I’m available daily from 9 to 6 EST.

Nice walk around town

We enjoy these self guided tours. It’s nice to be able to do side stuff during the tour and then pick right back up where you left off. This was shorter than previous ones we’ve done but was still vey informative and enjoyable.

Operator response

Lynn, I’m glad you enjoyed the Plymouth walk and liked the flexibility to explore side stops along the way. It’s a shorter tour, but I’m happy to hear it still delivered a solid dose of history and fun. You get what you pay for. It was alright.

I had major issues with the app not starting when I would get to one of the areas. I had to keep starting it myself when I could figure out which stop I was at. It was alright for the price you pay.

Operator response

Hi Lori, it’s unfortunate you had to face these issues. The manual start problem might happen if the tour wasn’t started from the designated starting point, and killing the app and relaunching it will solve the issue. The app automatically plays the stops once you’re at the starting point. If you're eager to discover more places at your own pace, don’t forget to check out my Action+ Tour Bundle for over 100 more self-guided tours.
