Itinerary
Our 1-Hour Scenic Harbour Cruises depart from The Barbican Landing Stage, off Mayflower Steps, Plymouth – home of Sir Walter Raleigh & Sir Francis Drake. An extremely popular, informative and enjoyable way to see the sights. We set sail across the Plymouth Sound flanked by the beautiful Devon and Cornish coasts. Passing Plymouth Hoe, the famous Drakes Island, spectacular views of Mount Edgcumbe, Royal William Yard and heading for the river Tamar, pulling into one of the largest Naval Dockyards in Western Europe – where the mighty warships and nuclear submarines await. All boats have toilets on board and a licensed bar, where a full range of hot & cold drinks can be purchased, whilst sitting back and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. A beautiful cruise for all the family to enjoy. Returning down the beautiful coastline to return 1 hour later back at the Barbican.

What an awful experience! I have been going on this tour for over 15 years filming the River Tamar and historic Devonport. Today got yelled at from the dockside by the Captain as i was ready to film the trip up the river as i had done on many previous occasions, and ordered to take my camera down. I asked the crew why as there had never been a problem before! Extremely unprofessional to be yelled at from the dockside in front of a full boat. Captain needs to learn some manners and do a PR course.
From start to finish, a super experience! Booking easy. Assistance at check in above expectation. Assistance getting on and off excellent (my friend is disabled) and the person helping her took great care and was very kind. The trip was smooth, interesting, most, enjoyable with a clear commentary. Highly recommended!!
Staff very friendly and helpful. Commentary informative & helps orientate to the local history & key aspects. Great photo opportunities. Boat clean. Very good value for 1 hour cruise. Highly recommend for visitors new to Plymouth.
We booked on for 3:30 on a Sunday afternoon. Our plans changed and we called to see if we could get on the 2pm instead which a very friendly lady told us was fine! Turned up and off we popped. Commentary was very good and gave you a good history of all the buildings and islands you saw. Top tip - there was a trunk of blankets in case it’s cold (only saw these on the way out, but didn’t ruin our trip!)
Very informative hour long trip. Blessed with good weather so large upstairs seating area amazing. Crew served refreshments
