We had a great day. Goran showed us around the upper and lower lakes. This place is amazing; we really enjoyed it and totally recommend it.
The Guide should have known more about the park itself and how the waterfalls were formed. It felt like he was not as experienced as he could have been
Emmanuel did a great job on our 5 hour guided tour of beautiful and scenic Plitvice Lakes. We walked a lot and it was a wonderful way to experience the beauty of the place. Our pictures capture the vibrant colours and lush surroundings.
Unfortunately, the guide, Nikola, canceled this tour 5 minutes before the scheduled meet time. Which was unfortunate. However, I understand things come up. Yet, my plans could have shifted earlier had I known sooner. In any event, the park trails are very easily managed without a guide or tour. You will probably learn more with a guide. But signs are well marked. Trails well kept. Maps available. And lots of people around.
Nikola was an excellent guide showing us through the lower and upper Plitvice Lakes, highlighting the many other natural attributes of the lake area. His information added to the beauty of the experience and day.
How beautiful the Plitvice lakes are! Visited today with a guide, booked on Tripadvisor. We had chosen the tour of about 6 hours. I.e. about 8000 m. walk and use boat and "train" on the route. This route is also referred to as route C. We were 6 people in our group with guided tour and got extensive information from our nice guide Emanuel Skelin. He speaks English as well as German. We were lucky today (May 28) that the weather was nice and not crowded at all in the park. Even quietly, Emanuel said. Brilliant views, breathtaking. Top day! Very nice trip, glad we had booked a guide. I can recommend Emanuel to anyone.
Emanuel was a great guide, 3 languages (German, English, Croatian) perfect. He has excellent expertise and was able to answer all the group's questions
Ours was an extraordinary tour with our guide Nikola. He was a delight--extremely knowledgeable, interesting, experienced, thoughtful, and an excellent teacher...pointing out fascinating features we would otherwise have missed. He was not only gracious and patient with my husband and me (old folks in our high 70's), but also went above and beyond the call of duty on our behalf. When we concluded we lacked the strength to complete the full tour of Upper and Lower Lakes, he graciously and swiftly arranged transportation back to our starting point at Entrance #1. Amazing!!! He is not only a first-rate guide, but a kind gentleman. Gratefully, Judy and Stan
Nikolas provided an excellent tour of this beautiful Croatian Park (Piltvice National Park) as he grew up here and has extensive knowledge of both the park and its history. He had an answer to all of our questions and took extra time to show us secret spots that many might not see. Highly recommend him as a guide as you will get your moneys worth!
This tour was an amazing way to experience the beautiful Plitvice Lakes National Park. Our guide Leo was very friendly, cheerful and informative. He really helped us to appreciate the park and to make our visit a memorable one.
