Pirate Escape Charleston Scavenger Hunt and Free Museum

Description
Strongly recommended for guests age 10+, The Pirate Escape Scavenger Hunt will take you back in time to the Golden Age of Piracy along the Carolina Coastline. Two local historians have designed an immersive experience like no other scavenger hunts currently offered in Charleston. Guests will start at the Fireproof Museum where admittance is included. Using the provided packet guests will follow a themed escape of Pirates during the Pirate Siege of Charles Towne in 1718. The hunt will have guests visit sites and locations that were around during the very real pirate siege of 1718 and find items to help "escape." Information and details provided along the route have been vetted and will provide hidden insight that most guests would have difficulty finding on their own. Great for families, friends, solo travelers and corporate groups; this escape will provide a budget friendly way to explore Charleston's colonial era on your own time. Join us in taking this Pirate Escape Adventure!

My husband and I had a great time with the Pirate Escape scavenger hunt. We learned a lot about historic Charleston and the scavenger hunt staff kept in contact with is through text as we did the hunt, even sending pirate jokes!! It was a great guided way to explore the area with purpose.
It was wonderful. Rain and all, saw a lot of Charleston that we would have missed. The only bad part was we stopped at a bar and grill and the kids got several bug bites.
Excellent interactive way to see parts of the city you may not have ventured to on your own. Our 10 year olds loved it!
It is hard and takes a lot of time. I had trouble matching the directions with the questions. Perhaps a narrative explaining the relationship between the narration and the questions will help. It may be that I was too distracted with 2 grandchildren to concentrate. It was fun when the narration and questions aligned.
We had a fun time walking around Charleston looking for the clues and answering the questions posed by the hunt managers. We “escaped” just in time (with 3 minutes to spare!). This was a great family activity.
This was a fun and budget friendly way to learn some of Charleston's history and explore the historic downtown area as a family. The kids (ages 9 and 12) loved it and the walking distance was doable, even if you have younger kids. They loved coming up with pirate names for the whole family.
This was an awesome experience. A great way to explore downtown Charleston on your own timeframe and get lots of information and history. We got some great photos and fun responses from our pirate guides. Be sure to pick your pirate names and bring your pirate energy with you! We had so much fun.
Fun walk around the French quarters of Charleston while learning a little bit of history along the way. Beautiful sights and architecture.
We had such a fun time. It’s a great way to learn about some of the history of Charleston.
Thanks! That was fun. We got to see more of the city and it kept the kids motivated to keep going. Recommended
