Itinerary
After we meet at the cruise terminal or another preferred location in Koper we will first head directly to the town of Piran which is the oldest Slovenian town and because of that is also called the museum town. It lays at the most western part of Slovenia between Italy on one and Croatia on the other side.
On the way to Piran we will pass Izola - former fishing village, today beautiful small town and sailing center of all Slovenia.
Above Izola we will make a stop for 10 min. This Photoshop is also option to show you the bay of Trieste.
You will be dropped of in the heart of Piran at the best starting point to start to explore this amazingly charming town on your own and at your own pace for up to 2 hours. The biggest impact on its architecture was left from Venetian Republic times in 15th century so in Piran you will get the impression of Venice. But the town is far less crowded and had remained the spirit trough the years. Most of the residents still live there and give this town its unique atmosphere. Whether you will go up to see the church or just sit under the statue of Giuseppe Tartini- a famous violinist born in Piran, or wonder around just by walking its narrow streets, visit the towns market or have a glass of amazing Slovenian wine at the coast you will for sure fall in love with this amazing old town. Piran is also home for a number of different artists from Slovenia and other countries. We can also make a reservation for you at one of the local traditional Slovenian restaurant where some fresh fish and great wine is served at affordable prices.
After approx 2 hours we will meet again and head up to the city walls above the town. We will make a photostop for approx 10 minutes.
The scenic ride from Piran will take us trough another coastal town of Portorose where most of the tourism at Slovenian coast is taking place.
After that we will take you back to your ship or another preferred accommodation as our journey concludes. All transportation will be smooth and relaxing. As we arrive back to Koper you can decide whether we drop you off under your ship or you can also choose to be dropped of at the old town centre which is approx 10 minutes away from your ship.

Cruise passenger terminal in Koper - we will wait on you with Name Sign. Hotel or any other preferred pickup location. Please be ready and waiting at the pickup location 10 minutes prior your scheduled pickup time. If not otherwise agreed the return location is the same as pickup location.

We were a group of 6 woman, lifelong friends, celebrating life in our 50’s so imagine how thrilled we were when we toured the beautiful Slovenian coast with Mateja!! We fell in love with her and her country! We were on a 9 day cruise and scheduling and meeting up with Mateja was organized and easy. She shared much history about her country and much about their culture as she toured us through the coastal towns and to Piran. What a beautiful and historic town Piran is. We ended the day at a winery overlooking Koper. It was a splendid day enjoyed by all of us. I would most highly recommend!! 5 plus out of 5!

Piran is beautiful! Andre was very knowledgeable and very nice. My recommendation would be to tell your guide to stay in Piran for at least 2 hours. The walk in Old Town was nice and stop in the salt shop if you can if you are into cooking!

Beautiful mountainous location on the Adriatic. Both Koper and Piran have retained their Mediterranean walled cities that are well kept and filled with shops and restaurants with outdoor seating. Bustling but not overcrowded. Reasonable prices and relaxing atmosphere. Very pleased with our trip there.

Tour with 3 other people with Mia, our guide, was terrific. Mia spoke perfect English and knew the countryside well. We had plenty of time to explore Piran on our own with suggestions from Mia.
This tour offered a bit of everything in a short amount of time. Our driver Peter was very knowledgeable and very courteous during the tour.
