Bus arrived on time. Our driver, Dave, was very knowledgeable. Tour was as described and very interesting
Aloha Magpie, Pearl Harbor is always a must do when you visit Oahu. We appreciate your excellent review. Mahalo,
Yge driver was good but I was sold this tour as part of my package with my holidays. Roberts had not purchased tickets so I could not see Arizona I was back ay motel within a hour was a waste rime and money and false advertising
Aloha Justins, I'm sorry we didn't meet your expectations. The navy controls all tickets offered at Peral Harbor. When tickets aren't purchased in advance. Peral harbor offers a QR code for guest to stand by and get onto the Arizona Memorial. Can you please email me at sightnsea@Robertshawaii.com. I would like to assist. Mahalo,
A great tour. Great communication from the company regarding where to meet etc. Van was comfortable and air conditioned. We were collected from our hotel. Our guide and driver was safe, friendly and very knowledgeable about Pearl Harbour. He had good communication skills. Places of interest were informative. Good value for the price. Would recommend this tour to anyone interested in history.
Excellent tour but be sure to verify the exact pick up spot. There were two tour bus pick up spots and we missed our tour. The location link they sent us was wrong so be sure you get the physical address and cross streets. Fortunately we had time to reschedule and they had availability so we booked the next day. The receptionist was nice and patient with me. The tour itself was phenomenal. Our driver was Cousin Koko, very knowledgeable and friendly. The bus was comfortable with AC. If not for the wrong pick up site, would give five stars.
Aloha Mary, Thank you for your wonderful review. Is it possible to provide me with the agent that booked your tour. My email address is sightnsea@Robertshawaii.com. I would like to investigate what happened. Mahalo,
Cousin “Elaine” was a fantastic tour guide as part of our princess cruise. She was very knowledgeable and had a friendly personality and was a joy to speak with during our tour. I would highly recommend her and her tour. She asked us to refer to her as cousin Elaine and considered everyone family.
Aloha Lori, Mahalo for your excellent review and sharing your experience with Cousin Elaine. Yes, Elaine loves treating all of her guess as Ohana (Family). Mahalo again,
I booked this trip to Pearl Memorial in Honolulu through Viator. Great experience on booking having the option to cancel much closer to the trip day and communicating in a timely fashion. The guide was very knowledgeable about the surroundings and history of every place she took us around. Visiting Pearl Memorial is once in a life time event and a must see when in Hawaii. Wonderful experience with both Viator and tour company.
Aloha Kelly, Thank you for sharing your experience. Peral Harbor is a very special place in history and a must do on Oahu. Working with our partners Viator / Tripadvisor makes booking simple and cancellation is need ,. 24 hour prior to tour. Aloha,
This was an extremely disappointing tour. This was no fault of the driver, who was lovely, but the entire point of booking the tour is to get pre-booked tickets to the Arizona so you can decide how to spend the rest of the time without stress. Instead, we had to dash to the standby line and then had to stay local in case we got in. Further, by not telling us in advance, I missed the opportunity to get tickets in the 24-hour advance batch. In the end, we did get to the Arizona (which really isn't as special as it used to be to be honest--it's harder and harder to see the boat), but it meant rushing the submarine tour--which costs money (not noted anywhere obviously unless you go to the Pearl Harbor public website) and fully eliminated the Missouri option since you could not get back in time. We would have been better off taking an uber to/from Pearl and getting tickets in the 24-hour group.
We recently booked a Pearl Harbor tour through the concierge service at our hotel. They never told us that the Arizona Memorial tickets were not guaranteed, although those tickets were the only reason we booked a 5-hour bus tour, including driving around downtown Honolulu. When we got on the bus at the meet-up point the tour guide told the passengers that the company was not able to get tickets for the memorial and therefore the whole tour would only consist of a trip to the Pearl Harbor visitor center (which does not have an entrance fee) and a sightseeing tour of Honolulu downtown. My family and I got off the bus immediately as there was no way I would go on an hours long bus ride without getting the actual service I booked and paid for. I understand that Oahu is very busy during the holiday season, but the concierge and Roberts should have made it clearer that it was unlikely to get the tickets for the memorial. We would have not booked that tour if that would have been communicated. And that were the whole issue feels almost like a "scam" - the center piece of the tour is the Arizona Memorial and if people cannot get on it, I would assume that quite a lot of people would rather not book the tour - which would result in less revenues for the tour company!
Aloha Bigbird, We appreciate everyone's review. Yes, Arizona Memorial Boat tickets are not guaranteed. However, there's a QR Code used for standby and normally everyone gets onto the memorial, which, is controlled by the Navy. Please email me your information to sightnsea@Robertshawaii.com and I'll see about getting you credit for your inconvenience. Mahalo,
We recently booked the Pearl Harbor tour through the concierge at our hotel using Roberts Hawaii. The driver showed up on time and made several pick ups along the way. At each pick up, he gave all of the loading passengers the same instructions but at different times which took a lot of time. All the way to Pearl Harbor he repeated the rules and regulations to us over and over again. When we got to Pearl Harbor, he told us how we needed to check in and what we were going to do after we arrived. We then we told that we didn't actually have tickets, we had to go on standby. What did that mean? I asked no tickets. What did we pay for? We proceeded to stand in line on standby and we waited for almost 2 1/2 hours before we were finally able to get onto the Arizona monument and watch the film all the while we stood in line waiting. When I called Roberts and spoke to Dustin, he told me, that there was never any guarantee that we would get a ticket, and that was noted in the disclosure. I told him I was on vacation and I didn't read the disclosures as 99.9% of people do not read them. When I asked what we paid for he said the entrance and the transportation. Well, the entrance is free and the transportation didn't have much value as we had to make multiple stops on a big bus. We did have a ticket to the battleship, but because of all the time we waited in line for the Arizona monument, we decided not to go as it required a separate shuttle. It was a long day , we did persevere and were able to see the monument but only after we stood in line for hours. When I returned to the hotel on my own dime, since we took an Uber back rather than doing a city tour afterwards, which would've brought us back much later. I spoke to the concierge and she indicated that they should've told us that the tickets weren't guaranteed. Again, at the end of the day we each paid about $150 for essentially a bus ride back-and-forth, instructions that we never had to use and waiting in line for something that was free.. I would say all in all this was a bad tour. I would not recommend it. You could take a bus or an Uber and get in for free and purchase the tickets online a month in advance for a one dollar service fee. Advice for those of you that are reading this in advance of your trip.
Aloha Nomad, My apologies for your unsatisfactory experience. The military has control over ticket's for the PH Memorial and the agents are aware that Memorial tickets are not guaranteed and the process. Please contact me at sightnsea@Robertshawaii.com to discuss. Mahalo,
Awesome tour, very informative. Guide was on time and very efficient. Friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, and safe. Bring a light jacket because the air conditioner was on full blast!
Aloha Sunshine, Thank you for your awesome review and compliments about our driver/guide. Mahalo,
