Itinerary
We will have fun by cooking fresh Pasta from scratch in a unique context: my family's 17th century family-run wine farmhouse, located in Frascati's vineyards (only 24 minutes train ride from Rome!). We will also enjoy a guided Wine Tour of our vineyard and farmhouse (a sort of wine museum now, no modern winemaking there) and have a Wine tasting of our nr. 3 family Wines, along with the lunch that will include the pasta varieties prepared by you, the tasty appetizers and the local sweets! We will meet in Frascati station and we will go to my family farmhouse (only 5 minutes drive) to discover a special place.. Me and my family team, also made of a pro Chef, will teach you how to prepare nr.2 of the traditional pasta recipes, including “Ravioli” and “Fettuccine“, as well as some of the secrets of the local culinary tradition! I will also provide you with our Pasta recipes! At the end of the experience we will accompany you back in Frascati station, to go back to Roma Termini station!

My partner and I booked the pasta masterclass and wine tasting/tour together with family. We were picked up from the train station and everyone was so friendly. The vineyard and farmhouse were beautiful and the pasta making was such fun and the chef was a good laugh. We all had a great time and was so much more than I could have expected. Eating our own freshly made pasta and drinking the vineyards wine in front of the vineyard and beautiful surroundings. I would highly recommend to others.
I couldn’t have dreamed our time at Minardi Vineyard any better. It was a beautiful experience for my husband and myself. The setting was lovely and our host Nico was friendly and relaxed which made our visit feel more like visiting old friends. The pasta making was such fun and of course the results were delicious, as were the wines.
We had an amazing day! The people were fabulous to be around. Learned a lot. I highly recommend!
We had the most authentic and fun pasta-making and wine tasting experience—easily the highlight of our trip! What truly made this experience special was the interaction with the family who owns and runs the vineyard. Their warmth, passion, singing and stories brought everything to life and made us feel like part of something truly special. If you’re looking for an unforgettable, genuine experience, this is an absolute must! 🍝🍷
The tour started with our guide, Nico, picking us up in Frascati train station. Then we got into the farm house and He gave us information about how wine is made. It was very informative and concise. We made pasta from scratch, did wine tasting, vineyard tour, had a wonderful meal and music. Overall the experience was excellent. My husband and I loved our tour, and the fact that the other people on our group and the host and hostess were considerate of our baby, was really amazing. Welcoming, informative and great experience. 11/10 would recommend!
A winery/vineyard in name only and a fun experience making pasta. There's no doubt that this property was once a working winery, but not so today. If you're looking for a wine experience (FYI, they only make two and not on site), and to indulge in something beyond stereotypes, then perhaps look elsewhere. To be fair, though, this place was fun. Just don't think about it too much. Take the time to wander around central Frascati afterward.
Hello Sir/Madam, Thanks for your feedback, but frankly your affirmations are incorrect : The property IS a 9th generation family-run wine farmhouse, it is clearly written in the description that it is not a modern winery with production on site. There is a CERTIFIED vineyard of 9 acres around the farmhouse and there are 270 olive trees plants as well, so the reality IS (not "was" as you said ) an operative wine farmhouse that produces certified grapes and olives to be transformed into certified local products. The production is not on site but we show the old cellar , the cave and the vineyards, and we explain the differences between past and present work. Your affirmations on the wines are not correct either, as we have 3 bottled wines available for purchase and one unbottled certified Frascati wine, so you taste 3 wines in your experience , and a fourth one is available for purchase. And ,sincerely, being called a stereotype is quite offensive since we do efforts to keep everything authentic and family-run. This said, at least we are happy that you had a fun time in the pasta class, and You are welcome to vist us again to have a better explanation of the wine processes and the farmhouse dynamics. Thanks and regards ! Minardi family
Wow! If you can squeeze this in while in Rome, do it!!! The entire experience was wonderful. From the simple train ride to the pasta making, the winery history and then eating the fruits of our labor made for a perfect day!
We had the BEST time!! Such an amazing family. I highly recommend!! The pasta and wine was delicious!
Aw thanks a lot! Always enjoy Italian Pasta & Wines :-) cheers!
This is a must book! Not only for the experience, but because it’s so homey and started our trip off on the right foot. Everyone there is warm and welcoming, you feel like family. Nico was our tour guide and was outstanding! You won’t be disappointed. Book the tour!
The class was fun and interactive. Chef Mimi kept everyone engaged and gave us a few lessons in speaking Italian. Overall I enjoyed the class and would definitely do it again.
