Itinerary
You are free to take your time exploring the Musée de l'Orangerie if you have a reserved access entrance ticket. Say goodbye to waiting in line for hours on end and for ticket windows to open with your reserved ticket. Instead of waiting for big group tours to move in unison, explore the museum at your own pace to make the most of your time taking in the world-class artwork within. View the additional pieces in the museum by, among others, Paul Cézanne, Henri Matisse, Amedeo Modigliani, Pablo Picasso, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Henri Rousseau, Alfred Sisley, Chaim Soutine, and Maurice Utrillo. The museum is best known for housing eight of Claude Monet's Water Lilies canvases permanently. The two parts of the collection—the Water Lilies and the École de Paris (School of Paris)—feel more connected now because of the early 20th-century reorganization of the Musée de l'Orangerie. Savor the grace, flow, education, and stimulation of the circuit.

Great place to go on a hot day. Impressive art. The shop and cafe area was nice, but extremely crowded during the hot part of the day.
Thank you for your feedback.
Viator sent me a ticket for a different person and for a different museum. Therefore I did not receive the audio tour and had to wait in the “person without timed ticket” line. I called before arriving to clear it up and they said it would be okay with just the one ticket. They refuse to give me a refund which is bad business practice.
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear about the confusion and inconvenience experienced during your visit. We sincerely regret the issues regarding the ticket details and audio guide access. Please note that all visitors may still be required to pass through venue-controlled entry lines. We appreciate your comments and will review this matter internally to help improve our service and communication.
Entry is a major pain. I recommend coming at least 40 minutes early. After entering there are various good paintings and a very good center exhibition on the ground floor.
Thank you for sharing your experience and helpful advice. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the paintings and the ground floor exhibition, and we appreciate your tip about arriving early—it can really help make the visit smoother for future guests.
Smaller museum than expected. Perfect for an audio tour on your own. You have time to listen to the 1-3 minute summary for each painting. Monet’s Water Lillies murals are stunning. Something everyone should see in their lifetime.
Thank you for your feedback.
