We thought our tour guide did an excellent job, but sadly this just wasn’t worth the price for us (almost $90 per person). On the tour, we tried a small piece of a pastry, a piece of cheese, a glass of wine, a small portion of a sandwich and some ice cream. We passed by lots of famous restaurants with signature French dishes (escargot, duck, etc) but did not stop into them. We appreciated learning about the history, but if you are here for a food tour, you do not get to try much. This is of course not the fault of the guide, but the overall tour design is not worth the money for us.
Thank you for joining our Paris Food Tour and for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re pleased to hear your guide did an excellent job and that you enjoyed learning about the history and local culture along the way. We also appreciate your perspective on the value of the experience. Our tours are thoughtfully curated to offer a balance of carefully selected tastings, neighborhood exploration, and the stories behind Paris’ food culture, rather than serving as a full meal featuring every iconic French dish. We understand that every guest has different expectations of what a food tour should include, and we respect that this style of experience wasn’t the right fit for you. Many of our guests have enjoyed the combination of authentic local flavors and cultural insights, but we appreciate your honest feedback. We hope you’ll consider joining us again on another Secret Food Tour and discover a different culinary experience with us.
Our tour guide Matthew was outstanding at explaining the different foods we sampled as well as the history of the area we were in and where the food originated. The tour was a great mix of eating on the run and sitting at restaurants sampling a large variety of French cuisine. A very worthwhile tour to do in Paris.
Matthew was prefect! Exactly the kind of informative, educational, enjoyable tour we were looking for!! couldn’t ask for more in a guide!

Mathew was amazing, so much great food and he new a lot of interesting facts
Matt was our tour guide and he was AMAZING. Very knowledgeable about the food and the city and I absolutely LOVED his booklet of pictures! It helped to see actual photos of the things he was talking about. His history lesson in front of the Notre Dame Cathedral was so informative that it took away some of the pain of the tickets being sold out and not being able to see inside. We had two teenagers with us and they enjoyed the tour, too!! There was laughter, good food, wine and history. A lovely way to spend a few hours in Paris.
Your feedback is always welcome. It’s great to know you enjoyed the tour. We look forward to seeing you again with Secret Food Tours!
