- BEFORE YOUR TOUR To ensure everything runs smoothly from the start, please confirm your pick-up location (based on your chosen experience) and your WhatsApp number with us before your tour date. We'll do a final check at 8:00 PM the day before your tour, so having your details correct allows us to organize everything properly and avoid any last-minute issues. At that same time (8:00 PM), we'll send you all the important information for your trip, including the exact pick-up time (meeting point or hotel, depending on your selected experience) and the group link, directly to the WhatsApp number you provided when booking. Since WhatsApp is our primary and only communication channel, we kindly ask that you have it downloaded, activated, and working at least one day in advance. This helps us keep everything clear, connected, and running smoothly for everyone.
- PICK UP INFORMATION: Your exact pickup time and group link will be sent via WhatsApp at 8:00 PM the night before your tour. Please make sure you have WhatsApp downloaded, active, and working, as this is our main and only communication channel before and during the tour. Pickup times may vary depending on the day and number of scheduled pickups. Due to traffic and logistics, there may be delays of 15–20 minutes. We kindly ask for your patience and understanding.
- RETURN TO LIMA: Your return to Lima is estimated to be around 11:45 PM, but this could be delayed depending on traffic and other external factors. For this reason, we strongly recommend that you do not book flights on the same day, as we cannot guarantee an exact arrival time. The airline is not responsible for missed flights. We ask for your understanding and flexibility.
- TOUR DURATION & FLEXIBILITY: Get ready for a full-day adventure (17+ hours). This is a dynamic experience, and timings may vary due to: Traffic (especially in Lima) Weather conditions Operational factors We truly appreciate your flexibility, good attitude, and patience throughout the day.
- RETURN AND DROP-OFF: We will re-enter Lima via: Barranco → Miraflores → San Isidro (Hotel & meeting point according to your experience selection). Drop-off times may be later than expected, especially on weekends due to heavy traffic.
- SPECIAL DATES: On holidays such as Easter Weekend from April 6 to 9 and from July 28 to 30, celebration of Independence Day in Peru: Pick-ups will be made 1 hour before usual hours. The activities of the Ballestas Islands will be only 1 hour and 30 minutes (all operators) and Dune buggy & Sandboard (Huacachina) only 1 hour (all operators)
- HUACACHINA EXPERIENCE: The dune buggy and sandboarding are a combined 2-hour experience, including stops for photos and to enjoy the landscape. Please note that this takes place in a natural desert environment. It is not recommended for people with reduced mobility, as walking on sand dunes is part of the experience and can be physically demanding.
- BALLESTAS ISLAND TOUR: This is a shared group experience on a speedboat with other travelers. It’s mainly a scenic and photographic tour, lasting around 2 hours. The guide onboard is officially certified and bilingual, but due to the nature of the experience (boat speed, wind, and noise), audio clarity may sometimes be limited.
- WHAT TO BRING: To make the most of your day, we recommend bringing a few essentials: Sunscreen (the sun is strong all year round ☀️), Sunglasses, A bandana (very helpful for the desert wind), Closed shoes for sandboarding Light, comfortable clothing for warm weather, A light jacket for the boat ride (it can get windy and a bit cold). If you forget anything, don’t worry — you’ll have the chance to purchase some of these items in Paracas or Huacachina along the way
- SANDBOARDING EXPERIENCE: Please note that sandboarding takes place in a natural desert environment. It is not recommended for individuals with reduced mobility, as walking on sand dunes is part of the experience and can be physically demanding.
- FOOD & CASH: Please bring cash (local currency). We’ll stop for breakfast on the way to Paracas or before the boat tour, and you may need cash for meals or personal expenses during the day.
- OFFICIAL DOCUMENT. Please make sure to carry the same identification document (passport) you used to enter Peru during the tour, as it may be required for verification at highway checkpoints.(Police)
- Classic Experience: This option includes (Pick-up and drop-off at our meeting point, activities such as a Ballestas Islands tour, a visit to a local vineyard in Ica for Pisco and wine tasting, lunch at the vineyard, a buggy tour, and sandboarding. It does not include (entrance fees, taxes, and meals).
- Premium Sunset Experience: This option includes (pick-up and drop-off at your hotel), activities such as a Ballestas Islands tour, a visit to a local vineyard in Ica for Pisco and wine tasting, lunch at the vineyard, a buggy tour, sandboarding, a magical sunset picnic and bonfire, entrance fees and taxes, and safety helmets. It does not include (meals and drinks).
- Comfort Adventure Experience: This option includes (pick-up and drop-off at your hotel), activities such as an ATV/mini buggy tour in Paracas, a visit to a local vineyard in Ica for Pisco and wine tasting, lunch at the vineyard, a buggy tour and sandboarding with sunset views, entrance fees and taxes, and safety helmets. Excellent full day trip to both interesting and very fun locations in Peru. Our guide Jesús, was engaging and helpful, actively checking on guests and putting a lot of effort into our experience. He balanced both a tour in Spanish and English incredibly well. All three experiences are absolutely worth the price, plus the food options are good throughout the day. The tour of Paracas blows away expectations, you can see plenty of sea lions, penguins, and local birds. The Pisco tasting was the shortest part, but lots of fun taste testing and knowledge on the process of wine-making. Finally, the dunes were incredible, beautiful scenic views and the dune buggies are a good thrill. This tour is essentially a guided tour of three different tours, the tour operator does not come with you on each tour, it basically coordinates all the logistics, and takes you place to place. However, they put plenty of extra effort into making your trips successful and worthwhile. Thank you again Jesús, our driver, and the Peru Experiences team.
Such a great experience. We had a great guide Juan Diego (JD). The trip starts early…for us we had a pick up time of 4:40 am. We stopped along the way for breakfast at a great little spot along the way. And then made our way to the boat tour. The boat tour was great- we were able to see all kinds of wildlife and of course the islands. We then made it to lunch which was a nice spot along with the Pisco tasting. We ended the tour at the sand dunes which was a great experience. Some of group decided to sand ski which was very cool to see. Overall well worth the money. We did not make it back to our hotel until 12:30 am. It was a very, very long day. The one recommendation if possible would be to try to shorten the length of the trip. It was a long day and while the bus was mostly comfortable for the day it got a bit uncomfortable.

I wanna start with a huge huge shout out to Maurice for being an amazing guide for the day. His detailed instructions made the day a breeze. Now coming to the trip itself, it was totally worth it. No doubt it was a long day, and travel is actually quite a bit. I would definitely want to do it again. The highlight for us was the Huacachina Dunes. I have done dune rides before but they just went over the top. Super thrilling. The sand boarding was amazing. I had never done it before and now I want more of it. They wrapped up the evening with a beautiful susnset picnic with wine and fruits. And obviously the marshmallows by the fire. Loved it!!!!! The bad part, just skip the paracas boat tour thing(islas ballestas), IMO, not worth the time. If you want to see some sea lions and may be the candelbera. Otherwise skip it if you have a choice. Mauricio was great with setting everything up and creating enjoyable moments. Orland whipped this large bus around Lima and huacachina like it was a agile beetle through the narrow streets and high ways . The experience with the sand dunes had to be the best. Our driver Giuseppe was precise and accurate with the buggy like a viking navigator guiding us to new lands. At last the picnic was calm set the mood for a chill and laxe departure. Only thing I wished there was more information about the barracos not being the best time to visit. Or even a option to skip that completely and go straight to Huacachina. The animals were migrating and now wasn’t the best time to see them. Also our tour guide in that moment seemed rushed and didn’t like explaining in English, was a completely different tour guide short woman I don’t remember her name. Other then that I give 5 stars for the other experiences Mauricio, Orlando, Giuseppe and his son Miguel.

This trip exceeded my expectations. How amazing!! The part of the dunes then....my God what a spectacle. The sunset....the surprise at the end...had no better way to close. Gold key! We had a very long, fun and beautiful day on this tour. I was hesitant at first because I didn’t know we had to purchase all our meals and the taxes so once I got over that, I really enjoyed the day. We loved the Paracas boat tour (included) and especially loved all the Huacachina experiences with the crazy buggy ride (included) that was a huge adrenaline rush and the sand boarding (included). We had 8 of us-in our family ages 12-25 kids and my husband and me. It was so much fun! Very long trip back to Lima 5 plus hours so that part is hard but they try very hard! Jesus was adorable with my kids and we all love him!

This tour was amazing! We did the buggy ride instead of the boat tour at Paracas and it was so much fun! Diego was our guide and he was very friendly and knowledgeable about everything!
