This one room building is an incredible history lesson and our guide Nicola (Nik) was very knowledgeable. He had so many facts big and small in his head, and a neutral presentation of all the nuance among the conquerors and religions who used the pantheon over the 1900 year history. Also the building materials and techniques were just as important as the civilization!

While the Pantheon is easy to do on your own, I highly recommend a knowledgeable guide like we had with Paolo. He had great knowledge and shares many pictures explaining both the building itself and the symbolism of this ancient building. It was relatively quick done in 1 hour but worth it from our perspective.
