A fun experience with Javier as our guide through the market and Carlos as our chef/instructor. The food was excellent. Together we made sangria, gazpacho, and paella. But we were also treated to an olive oil tasting. We ended with freshly made churros. A perfect. way to spend your time in Malaga. Highly recommend!
Javi gave us a great tour of a fabulous market before cooking. We loved it so much, we went back to the market after the class. Alba is a pro - she helped us paella that was best we had in Spain, and we also made sangria and gazpacho, and enjoyed churros as well. We especially enjoyed meeting and sharing the experience with people from all over the world.
We wanted to learn to make paella since we had eaten it in Spain and wanted to try to make it at home. The Kulinarea kitchen was within walking distance of our downtown hotel. We met there, not at the Atarazanas Market, which is what is listed in the Tripadvisor "What to Expect " section. We still got to tour the market, but did not have to buy any ingredients since they were already provided by the class. After that we learned how to taste olive oil, and were given the opportunity to purchase some. There, we learned how to make gazpacho, sangria, and finally the paella. We cut our own vegetables and did the cooking from start to finish. Most of the participants made seafood paella, but there was an option to make vegetable paella for vegetarians and in case of allergies. With the expert instruction by Carmen, ours turned out perfectly. We all sat together and had our paella with the gazpacho and sangria, followed by churros for dessert. They also had some ready-made salmorreta so that making it at home would be easier. Now that we are back home, we are excited to try making it ourselves. It was a fun experience and a delicious meal, all in one!
A lot of fun great instructors wonderful tour of the market all in all a great experience. Perfect class size
“We absolutely loved this workshop! A perfect mix of visiting the market, learning about Spanish ingredients, making authentic sangria and gazpacho, and cooking a delicious paella together. Javi and Alba were both fantastic — friendly, passionate and fun. Everything was well organized and felt very authentic. One of the highlights of our stay in Málaga. Highly recommended!”

Fun experience. Carmen and her partner were awesome. The food was excellent and we loved that the class size was small enough to get the individual attention needed to really experience the class. Loved it!

Friendly and informative tour of the market including a couple of extra hints and tips for bars/cafes on way to the kitchen. Followed by a fun and informative cooking session with plenty of space to learn and enjoy the experience.
Great guide, great chef making sure our paella was cooked correctly, and a lovely quick tour of the market which will come in handy when wanting to return. The sangria was overly and the company was great too. Would recommend to anyone visiting Malaga!
