The two tank scuba introductory tour operated by Pro Dive International was excellent. The instructor (Anna) was superb…she took the time to make sure we were fitted appropriately, she then walked us through the pool portion making sure we were comfortable with what was going to happen, she then took us step by step on how to clear mask, handle regulator, and safety protocol if out of air…we practiced till comfortable… In the afternoon we went out on two dives at different portions of reef…once again Anna was excellent she made sure we were comfortable flipping out of boat navy seal style…she then had us descend slowly into ocean making sure we were pressurizing, depressurizing appropriately…when down at the reef we saw nurse sharks, loggerhead turtles, spiny lobster, and a plethora of fish…Anna kept her eye on us and made sure we were safe at all times…thank you Anna you reassured us and made our introductory dive experience awesome…
This was an amazing experience! Boon was our instructor and he made us beginners feel safe and relaxed. We did two dives and both were incredible
I did the demo at Dream Cozumel Cape with Luisa. I had never experienced scuba diving before and thought that it would be a great way to try it. I found it so enjoyable that I signed up for the discovery scuba diving later that day to do the next day. Being in Cozumel only 1 more day, I decided I could not pass up scuba diving the reefs there. Luisa led me through the class at the dive pool at Dreams easily. Having snorkeling experience and being from Michigan, I was able to catch on quite quickly, as she is a great instructor. I was at ease with moving on to the ocean dives later that day at Occidental. My first time scuba diving in the ocean was absolutely amazing! With Luisa at my side, I felt safe and she made sure that I was also conscious of the reef as well. The 45 minutes flew by as I tried to absorb everything around me. She pointed out the fish and other features, so I wouldn’t miss them. Once the first dive was finished and we surfaced, Luisa made sure that we briefed before the next dive. On the second dive, we had a second person join us which, of course, changed the dynamics. Luisa gave me a heads up on what to expect with this change. She still made sure to point out what she could as she handled 2 divers. After that dive, Luisa let me know how well I swam, what my oxygen consumption was, asked if I had questions, and if I enjoyed it. Of course I did! Now that I am back home in Michigan, I look forward to seeing about getting certified myself after the experience. Luisa gave me an opportunity that changed my life.
My daughter completed her Open Water certification with Dimi Scuba Tours and I did 2 boat dives. Diana and her team are the consummate professionals and go out of her way to ensure a safe, wonderful experience.
I have done scuba many different times on vacation and this was by far the worse experience I have ever had. I was scheduled for 8am. When booking was not told it was 25 minutes out of town to dive shop with no pick up. $20 taxi to get there at 7:45 for an 8am reservation. After filling out paperwork was told my dive got moved to 9:30. The dive shop sits at an all inclusive resort and the restaurant would not sell me coffee, food or anything unless I went to lobby and paid $85 for an all day pass to resort. So I sit with nothing for 1.5 hours. When things got under way the instructor and the first dive were great. We came back to dock to get new tanks for second dive and ended up waiting for 25 minutes for our boat captains to surface. No one knew where he went but he was MIA for almost 1/2 hour. Second dive was nice. Return to dock and try to find cab. No luck. It is way out town and even having worker call could not get a cab. The employee shuttle with my dive guid final took me to town where I could get a cab. The website should warn you that there is no food and no cab service at dive shop. Bring your own food or plan on going hungry unless you pay $85 for a day pass. This 5 hour dive I booked took me over 10 hours because of rebooked time and no transportation. All these things should be listed. If you were a guest at resort all would be good. The dive and dive guid were fantastic. The trip advisor site with no real information is what wreaked this trip. I would not recommend this dive shop if your not part of the resort
Great experience. It had been many decades since we had been certified, so we really appreciated the pool time to get reacquainted with all the equipment and diving itself. Our instructor, Javi, was very knowledgeable, had very good English, and did a great job communicating and demonstrating scuba skills. We were awestruck by the marine life on the reef... the coral, the fish and other shellfish, etc. We, of course, saw a ton of different species with highlights including two 8-10' nurse sharks, one 5' horn-beaked turtle, and two lobsters. It was also nice that the reef was only a 15 min boat ride from the dock. BTW, as it turns out Pro Dive Mexico also offers a refresher course for those already PADI certified. That would have allowed us to dive deeper than 40', but most of the marine life was at 40' or less, so we had a great time.
Amazing experience with the team as a ‘reintroduction’ to diving after a long time away from it. Experienced and thorough instructors ensured I had the knowledge to dive safely and enjoy it. Great dives where the instructor made sure to point out all interesting things - we got to see turtles, lobsters, nurse sharks, barracuda, moray eel and more. Recommend this team for anyone looking to dive in Cozumel.
We had an awesome dive with Eric, Manuel, and Pablo. Very knowledgeable staff. Saw lots of things. Thank you!
Ana gave us a course and she was excellent with Andrés, we did a couple of dives with him and he taught us a lot of things. The center's facilities and super equipment
Javier Torres, excellent instructor, took great care of our safety, clear, objective instructions, unsurpassed patience and kindness!!
