Ottawa City Tour by Land and Water

Booking in advance is easy and convenient. Bus driver and tour guide were very informative and friendly.

Pretty neat bus tour. We went on a day that the weather was a like 75 f. It was very comfortable. We sat in the middle of the bus. The line to get on the bus could be better organized but it all worked out. Our bus was 2/3 full. The poor girl (Sophie) who is the tour guide has to talk almost the entire ride as she has to say it in English and French. She must be tired at the end of the day. She did her best and was very friendly. We rode around in the Ottawa River quite a ways. I mention this because I got the impression from some other reviews that we would be in the water and then out very soon. It was a beautiful little cruise on the river. We had a a fun little girl with us who waved to everyone far and wide so it was neat to see people waving back! I would recommend for an hour long little trip.

Very cool experience and a good way to get a taste of the city

The tour covered many of the sites covered by other Tours, but the combination of the boat going into the river and having the unique views that affords, along with the great personality and fun provided by the Tour Guide, I really enjoyed it. I highly recommend it.

Absolutely brilliant tour. Wendy was our tour guide and she was fabulous. Bruno was our Captain and he navigated perfectly!! This was a really interesting tour and well worth the fee. Wendy made us all laugh and provided loads of information about Ottawa as well as giving tips for other options for my visit. I would highly recommend doing this if you're in Ottawa and you have the time.

I had the opportunity to participate in the Ottawa Amphibus tour and the experience was simply excellent. The concept of transitioning from the road to the water is unique and impressive. The guide was very dynamic, professional, and rich in information about the history and main sites of the capital. The transition to the river was a memorable and very enjoyable moment. This is an activity that I highly recommend to both visitors and residents who wish to discover Ottawa from a different perspective. Thank you to the entire team for this wonderful experience!

It's great because it's not too long but just the right amount of info and we all learned something new. Cool experience.

This tour was not for us. It is basically a monstrosity that has none of the perks of a ferry or bus drive. The engine is pretty loud which makes it hard to understand the guide if you are sitting in the back. The tour should be bilingual, but immediatly the guide asked it he could switch to just english. My mother was the only sole french speaker and could not understand a word (he asked just once, very quickly and in english) she also didn't want to be singled out among the group, and could not understand the request in english. It is still pretty unacceptable to pay for a double language tour and not be offered such. The guide did his best, but relied a bit too much on jokes for our liking, with very little useful information offered. We also found pretty distasteful the asking for tips at the end, since the price is already steep. Finally, this was the first time in Canada my 1 year old child had to pay his own fare. This was reduced, yes (about a third of the full price ticket) but it's still pretty mean to make a child that won't understand, nor take his own sitting spot pay (he was on our arms the whole time). So if you like the novelty, go for it, they are not scammers, but for us it was a pretty disappointing experience.
