IF you get to the departure site earlier than 20 minutes before the cruise, you will not find anyone or any sign to direct you to the proper departure point.
The signage directions from the rodway/sidewalk was was extremely poor ,I would say non existent to get down to the canal side meeting area. We were definitely not the only one who had difficulty find where to go
As advertised - on time departure and return, we'll informed guide, and easy to book. Well worth the price and a must do when visiting Ottawa.
It was an excellent cruise!!!!! Loved seeing all the different places and learning the history behind them. Rideau Canal, Dow's Lake, etc. The tour guides were extremely friendly and answered any questions we had. Highly highly reccommend!!!
Very relaxing and informative! Our guide, Cam, was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. If you arrive at the meeting point a little early, there is a restaurant with a lovely patio where you can grab a drink or a snack and watch the ducks and geese.
I highly recommend this trip as a fun and eco friendly way to see the city. Shout out to Kam our tour guide!
History of the construction of the canal and culture at iconic sites throughout the course
This was a wonderful way to enjoy the Rideau Canal. We enjoyed a beautiful cocktail and a funny and knowledgable tour guide who was only 15 years old but incredibly talented at his job. Will be a wonderful memory for years to come, highly recommend.
Guided History was sparse. Maybe because it had to be announced in 2 languages so time was cramped. Please stop asking for a tip it was embarrassing esp standing there with a tip boz! The cost for cruise should cover the cost and if we want to tip leave a jar at the bar!
The tour was absolutely lovely. Our guide was well informed and interesting to listen to. We did struggle getting to the correct dock, but part of that was construction, and the fact there was an identical boat on the other side of the river. It was a wonderful activity for our day in Ottawa.
