Itinerary
After a quick briefing, we’ll hop aboard an electric tram—"trikk," as the locals call it— and glide through the vibrant city streets to Aker Brygge, Oslo’s buzzing waterfront district. With its trendy restaurants, stylish shops, and breath-taking views of the Oslo Fjord, it’s the perfect launch point for our adventure!
After just 15 minutes on an electric ferry, we’ll reach Gressholmen, an island nature reserve, famous for its beautiful scenery. Wander through the island paradise while your guide tells you about Norwegian culture and nature, all while soaking in stunning fjord views. And if you’re feeling adventurous, take a refreshing dip at one of Gressholmen’s tranquil beaches—just don’t forget your swimsuit!
Next, we’ll ferry over to explore Nakholmen, a charming island known for its picturesque coastal cottages—a beloved weekend retreat for Oslo locals. As we cruise past several other islands, you’ll get a glimpse of authentic Norwegian island life, where colorful cabins line the shores and locals embrace the slow, scenic pace of the fjord.
After soaking up Nakholmen’s charm, we’ll board our ferry back to Aker Brygge, giving you one last chance to marvel at the beauty of the Oslo Fjord. Back on land, you can choose to stay to explore the vibrant waterfront district, or wrap up this adventure with a smooth tram ride back to the city center with your guide. This is the ultimate way to experience Oslo’s island paradise, rich history, and stunning nature, all in one incredible trip. Pack your swimsuit, grab your camera, and get ready for an experience you’ll be talking about long after you leave Norway!

We really enjoyed our tour with Miles. He’s very knowledgeable about the islands, Oslo and the Norwegian way of life. The tour itinerary was just right.
Very nice walk. The guide that accompanied us was very communicative, friendly and very helpful. Five stars for her.
This tour description is quite a bit misleading. It is an extreme amount of walking and hiking. There was no "trikk" but a trek through town walking to the boat. This should be advertised as a island walking tour!!
Thank you very much for your booking. This is the first time we have experienced someone calling this tour a huge amount of walking. We have thousands of guests every year. We stroll around two islands, looking at life and telling stories about the different islands. It is sad that you experienced it that way. It is possible to participate in the tour without walking around.
Great tour! I was the only person. I felt like I got to know Bergen very well including the history of Bergen. My guide was very knowledgeable and friendly.
The tour guides were great. I did read that we would be touring an island of cabins so the tour was represented well. I felt badly because I guess I didn’t realize we would be trapping right through the neighborhood on the second island. I felt badly being around the people who lived there who were just trying to live their lives. I felt like many in the group went off path and were not respectful of the fact that it was a reserve. I felt like this was the first time I participated in overtoirism.
Enjoyable but overbooked. 30 patrons was too many. When i booked the description of the tour was different than what i experienced. But the description is now correct as to which two islands will be visited. Overall a good experience. A bit more of a physically demanding hike than i expected. For me, that was a bonus for me to get more exercise.
Miles was a great guide. Liked having the other guides accompany us, too. It downpoured, but all was good. They did everything to make it a pleasant experience.
We both loved this tour. The tour guide was super friendly and was very insightful about the islands we visited. She was extremely accommodating to each of us. The islands are beautiful and interesting, the ferry crossings were made very easy. Highlight was swimming in the oslo fjord
Great guide, excellent timings and the opportunity to have a swim in the fjord! Very friendly and helpful guide.
This tour was a great way to experience the small islands close to Oslo. The guide was very good and even thought the tour was fairly large - the experience was still very good.
