We had a great family tour with Shaniece. She met us at the Westin Miyako with the driver and we spent the day together in Nara and Osaka. From the start, Shan was engaging and informative, chatting with us about the history of each location. She had many helpful tips, such as how not to get chased around by the deer in Nara. In the end, we made some changes to itinerary as the day unfolded and Shan was extremely flexible and helpful. We ended up spending quite a bit of time at Dontonburi and enjoying the shopping and restaurants. As an Osaka resident, Shan was very comfortable guiding us around to various shops and food destinations (get the fluffy cheesecake!). We had a great day trip from Kyoto, many thanks to Shan. Our driver was great as well. We never had to walk very far and the van was always dropping us off right in front of our destination and picking us up right where it was convenient!
Our excursion with Somei as our tour guide to Nara and Osaka was amazing. We highly recommend this tour. We were very pleased. Somei is very polite, patient, and knowledge. Memorable as we celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary!
Our guide, Shan, was a very hospitable and knowledgeable guide. She was extremely accommodating and flexible throughout the day to cater to our family. As an Osaka native, we ended up spending most of our time in Osaka, trying different foods and shopping at various locations. Overall, a very memorable day trip (from Kyoto) that we are glad we did!
Ben was an amazing guide! He was organized, considerate, and accommodated easily for my father who has a limited walking capacity. He was great at engaging every member of our family and was generous with his knowledge about his hometown and the whole country. He was genuinely warm and funny and made us feel at ease the whole time. I would highly recommend him and his tour company to anyone!

Our day tour in Osaka and Nara was absolutely incredible! Our tour was with Christine and Ben and they were so personal and it felt like we were spending the whole day with family. We actually were on a tour with Christine the previous day and it was so good we booked this one with her as well. We visited Nara and spent time with the bowing deer and the kids couldn’t get enough of it! We then went to Osaka and visited a few shrines and the castle. They even took us to a local food spot for lunch and it was DELICIOUS. HIGHLY recommend this tour! Especially with Christine and Ben!
This trip to Japan and Thailand was in honor of my wife’s 75th birthday. Our guide, Ben, was highly personable and very open to questions. His knowledge and expertise of the religious and cultural sites we visited was prodigious, and we especially appreciated the way he helped us understand the meaning of rituals at every temple and shrine we visited. Between our morning in Nara and afternoon in Osaka, Ben took us to a local restaurant, his favorite, where the food was absolutely delicious. Ben took evident pride in his work and the care extended to his clients. I highly recommend booking with this tour operator. You won’t regret a moment.
